The cynic in me says that the majority of people getting themselves whipped up over this don't have the slightest idea what it is they're worried about. All seems very "anti-green agenda" when I see the sources of the confected outrage. Do we not trust our farmers this week?

Well quite, but it is rather amusing that people seem to get themselves all hot under the collar over something that appears to be safe, vs ingesting an actual poison (alcohol) in large quantities. It reminds of an old colleague of mine who used to go on and on about the alleged connection...

I have to laugh at the the number of people on social media losing their **** over this. People who I know for a fact binge drink, and snort white powder of questionable origin and content each weekend. But aye, you worry about this. The internet has made everyone an expert.

There will be a few of the legacy carmakers that will disappear because they're unable to keep up. Think of all the British car companies that used to exist. Bit early to be predicting VW's demise though.

I remember having the Maui Coconut Porter a few times about 13/14 years ago and was also blown away with it. Unfortunately don't see as much US beer here as you did in those days. I suppose given the explosion of smaller breweries here, the need/demand to import has reduced.

Even in a court of law, definitive proof isn't always necessary. If a pattern of behaviour has been corroborated by 13 people so far, then I think it's fair to say that there could be something worth looking at. The BBC clearly think so now too. Stuff like this should always be thoroughly...

There might never be proof. What there may be is an overwhelming body of evidence that mounts up. At what number do you start listening and believing those that come forward?

I think you're making the assumption that because only 13 made a complaint, that only 13 found his behaviour objectionable. Given the amount of coverage the story has gotten, I can't blame people for not coming forward.

Of course it's their duty of care. Let's not pretend that this is a BBC only issue though. It's seen throughout the industry, from Philip Schofield to Harvey Weinstein. It's not just an issue within entertainment either. Look at any industry with a power dynamic, and you'll find abuses of that...

There are some excellent Spanish breweries out there. Soma, Basqueland and Garage spring to mind.
