I've not brewed that one myself but with single can kits the default setting is to add a kilo of beer kit enhancer which is a 50/50 mixture of spray malt and brewing sugar (dextrose). The malt will add body and flavour, all sugar will give a thinner, drier beer.

I also use a mixture of 2l plastic and 500ml glass empties. I don't understand why people say that you have to drink the whole 2 litres in one evening. I just screw the cap back on and put the bottle back in the fridge. It's always fine the next day.

DON'T take beer kit instructions as gospel. They are usually inadequate for beginners and often make unrealistic claims about fermentation and conditioning times. Instead join the forum and ask advice :) .

Great post as always Brewski, perfectly in the spirit of the suggestion. Only thing I'd ask is a description of how to use the extra tube extension to suck. No doubt I'm being thick but still can't quite visualise it:how does the spit (sorry) not reach the beer? Do you whip the extension off...

Grandmaster, as Matt suggested, there really is only one way to find out. I'd suggest standing a bottle in the sink (just in case of an eruption), open it and take a sniff. If it smells ok take a sip. What's the worst that could happen?
