    Cooking Wine

Oh just a note. Leave the pineapple for few weeks after bottling :) same with any supermarket juice wines - they are early drinkers but absolutely benefit with few weeks in bottle :)

    Cooking Wine

Pineapple juice - cheapest is Aldi (59p) per litre of 100%juice. Or Lidl pineapple is good also (I have downloaded app for Lidl plus and it gives 5off 25 plus 25pecent of juice...) I would go with beaverdale kits - not much more than cheaper ones but much better- all juice and no extra sugar...

    Cooking Wine

With red kits I would recommend beaverdale - Nebbiolo is rather nice or the merlot. It’s about £12 for 6bottle kit so not too much more then cheaper ones round £10 but definitely better taste :)

    Cooking Wine

I have made some blackberry wine with handful of elderberries. I think there are still some blackberries left and great to gather them when you out and about. I know it should age a bit for drinking but I have racked it after a month and had a taste and it would be great in beef stew or...

    BlackBerry abundance

Running out of demijohns now. Have to report that the “seconds” brew is wonderful! Have not touched the blackberry/ elderberry demijohns other than racking and putting away for a while, but the “seconds” ferment with the Waitrose merlot and apple juice and 1kg of sugar, steeping the pulp for 5...

I have been making peach in grape juice wine , leaving the mushed up fruit in straining bag for 5 days, this morning when I was getting the straining bag out I found a Fly floating in the fermenter :( - the lid was not clipped all the way to allow gasses to escape but I thought no creature could...

Supermarket Juice Wine How To guide and Recipes.

Just had a bottle of this two months after bottling. It mellowed and does not taste as dry and does not taste so much alcoholic as it did to start with :) - done few wows and even though they are quite quick drinkers they do benefit from couple of months conditioning :)
