Chilled my wort today in the monk down to 23 Then using the pump shot it in to FV nice and well full of oxygen went to pitch but temp label on bucket said 28 It boiled bang on 100 so that makes me think monk is ok Could temp strip be dodgy or could it be that pump was still hot or????

Any one try the ag kit from thehomebrewcompany Done the apollo IPA and unless I did something wrong it's hard to drink not like an ipa taste not light on colour kinda burnt ,toffee taste I think ??

Finger tighten only when u feel a little pressure on o ring stop u think it's not tight but it is with pressure pushing from inside Dont screw till u cant no more look at your o rings when tightening soon as it's not being squashed stop

I've chosen some hops for there flavour descriptions Going to make a brew tomorrow but I'm wondering what's the best time to add hops to get there optimum flavour I know the start of the boil is for bittering but is there a specific time to draw the flavour of each hop If u get me ???

I only used a 7 litre pot 3kg dme or lme 3 liters water the topped up bucket just like a kit Some might say it's wrong but I got some good beer from it

How do u get flavours into the beer

Honestly I dont know I just did it to add hops to extract the oils I suppose it should be sanitized being packaged for sale
