That will be lovely, I did a very similar recipe last year, instead of the dme I used MO and Pils malts. Such a great tasting mix of hops!

I brew a few batches of stout every year and always get a lively fermentation like yours, it’s all good. I use s-04 for all my stouts, it’s also known for this effect.

Currently chugging on a GH Nelson single hop pale. It’s a beauty 😀

I added it at 80, I’ll give it a go at flame out for the next pale - I’ll probably do all of his single hop pales this year, it’s a great way to discover hops. Thanks for the tip athumb..

Yes - I’ve done a couple of his recipes in the last few months and they have all turned out great. I’ll be doing his esb next

Our Christmas has been spent re-watching 80s movies, we saved Gremlins for tonight. It’s on now, being washed down with homebrew stout and Talisker. It’s just me and the wife this year and it’s been the quietest Christmas we’ve had in 20+ years....all these films have made it fun though
