Brewferm Triple Wheat and English IPA

We bottled the triple wheat on Saturday and was going to start the IPA... But the can had a dent in it and when we opened it there was some white stuff on the extract. We played it safe and didn't make that. We ordered a couple beer kits more, hopefully we can get to brewing this weekend.

Brewferm Triple Wheat and English IPA

Been 4 days since the last reading and now it's 1.023... do you think it's safe to bottle? The airlock isn't giving bubbles almost at all either so... The instructions just said it should go down to 1.015

Brewferm Triple Wheat and English IPA

Today it's 1.024 so it's still going slow, gonna let it sit another week and take the next reading on Thursday maybe. The smell is really good!

Brewferm Triple Wheat and English IPA

Okay an update: We started last Saturday and took the first reading after OG since the waterlock doesn't really bubble anymore, not very often at least. OG was 1,076 and now we measured 1,025. The instructions say it should go down to 1,015. We will measure tomorrow and Sunday too to see if it's...

Brewing cider from a kit (MYO Apple)

Well sugar would be too risky for my liking in the bottle, yeah you can pasteurize the cider to stop it fermenting before the yeast eats all the sugars and create too much pressure but my knowledge is not enough for that yet. I also thought since there are multiple drinkers adding simple syrup...

The beer, wine and cider snack thread.

Yeah, I believe you call them crisps in the UK :) I didn't mean french fries though I wouldn't mind eating those either :D

The beer, wine and cider snack thread.

I like beef jerky with my beer! Salami sticks work too and chips.

Brewing cider from a kit (MYO Apple)

So in couple months we are going to try and brew our first cider. We've brewed beer before and the process doesn't seem too different between a beer kit and a cider kit. The only thing I'm wondering is the sweetener. The kit comes with an artificial sweetener package you should add, but I really...

    Coopers Hefe Wheat Kit

We brewed this kit before and used the Coopers wheat malt extract in addition. We also made only 20 litre batch so it was a little stronger (about 5,5% if I remember correctly). It made a surprisingly good beer :D I hope yours will turn out good as well!

Yes I am from Finland :D nice to meet other Finns here too :)

    Brew#2 - Bavarian Pilsner

If you want it exactly as in the recipe you would need to reduce the other ingredients by the same amount (roughly -13%). If you don't your beer will be a bit stronger. One I would reduce myself regardless is maybe the hop pellets, but then again idk if that -13% would make huge diffence. If you...

    My first brew

I would suggest buying more bottles, that's what I'm doing now. We made a couple batches before with the idea of making a new batch after the previous 2 has been drank but the problem is that I find beer gets better after a couple of months. So there will be some downtime while waiting for the...

Brewferm Triple Wheat and English IPA

Good to hear and thanks for the tip :) I was going to let them mature for at least 4 months anyways, I've noticed from the Coopers kits too that patience rewards you! I might have to buy a couple more after these are in the bottles.

Brewferm Triple Wheat and English IPA

Hello, haven't done a whole lot of brewing lately. We made a couple of kits in the summer and tried dey hopping for the first time with interesting results. But now I thought it's a good time to brew something again, we ordered two Brewferm kits, Triple Wheat and English IPA. We've only done...

    Greetings from Finland!

Hello! I joined this forum cause I just started brewing my own beer recently for the first time. I love beer and have been interested in making my own for quite a while, and finally got myself to get myself to try. I got the coopers DIY kit that came with everything I needed to make my first...

    New member, first brew

Beginner brewer here as well, done 2 batches of Coopers kits and haven't got to tasting them yet. If you measured your brews original gravity you could measure it again to figure out how much fermenting has happened. Of course that makes it contact with oxygen though

    Coopers DIY Kit

Hello, we got the Cooper DIY kit that came with the Lager as well as their Hefe Weizen beer kit. This is our first brew and I've been wanting to try making my own beer for quite a while now, but always been too lazy, don't have time blah blah. And actually it's not that much effort at least...
