Did find bottles on it in Carefour on a recent trip...
Personally I use 2-3 per 500ml bottle (for the excess which doesn’t go into a keg) and it’s pretty spot on. So you may well need 3 for a 750ml bottle.

It’s more than likely fine. The plug and wire on my grainfather get warm during the boil. Even the wire on our kitchen kettle does a little athumb..
