    yeast how long will it keep in slurry

    I've certainly used previous beer kit slurry which I did keep in the fridge for up to 4/5 weeks before using. If it smells good I'd go with it.

    Christmas has come early

    I'm a great devotee of the Car boot sale (I live close to one) and I quite often see selections of brewing gear at our local one. Recently bought an old Boots hydrometer in a tube with a rubber bulb to suck up the brew, very good and easy to use.

    stalled ferment

    I have, in the past, been able to pitch another yeast starter with success. Have you tried that?

    How much sugar?

    Purely as an aside, don't throw out the Rhubarb after you have washed off the excess sugar. The leftovers make for a dynamite Rhubarb Crumble - 2 for the price of 1 - can't be bad!! :thumb:

    :shock: Sorry just re-read that you only want to brew to 32 pints. Rather than add cold water to 23L add water to a little over 19L (32 Pints)
