Ah, I didn't know it is illegal. Who will know if I distill? Will they come after me? I quite fancy giving it a try, who does it on here? There must be a few, shhh

    Homebrew ABV vs macrobrews ABV

So how does that get them ****** quicker? I find I don't get ****** off my brew coz it took me a long time to make it. It is weaker than what me and my friends normally drink in the pub but we love it.

    Beer and whisky

Thanks HM, I'm more after the whisky making / distilling process if you have any info on that? I did have a look around but couldn't find anything. If I want to make my beer stronger I think I'll just add more sugar, it's the easiest way I think.

    Beer and whisky

So I asked about the beer making process which I think I am beginning to understand, I think. Anyhow, that got me thinking. I would like to make my own whisky and perhaps vodka. Now I understand I need to distill (if you have any info on the process that will be much appreciated) but where might...

I read some people move there beer to another bucket after a week to help clear the beer. Personally I...

    Process

Thks for your help but I'm still after the beer making process if anyone can help. I don't know about head retention, I just want to make beer fron the start I.e. Hops with grains (I think). Do I just add hops & grain to water and boil? I think that's what a local brewery does, unless I have...

    Process

I still don't understand the process.??? As I see it you put malt into hotvwater then boil it to make beer? I think the hops go in the bottle or keg, whatever you do? These sparkler things, we don't use them down south. They look pretty ****? Will they make an icecream out of your beer???

    Process

I'll ask again later but i thought it would have been better for a moderator to move it, rather than have duplication. I'll leave it for a bit to see if it gets moved first.

Ah, apologies. I just pushed the new thread button, i dont know how it ended up in the wine area. perhaps one of the moderators could move it for me? Any thoughts on the brewing process Chippy_Tea, i would like to know how it all works?

    Process

I can't be bothered with bottling so I just drink it straight from the fermentation bucket therefore it's never fizzy. I done a few in some volvic bottles once but it blew the lids off and made a bit of a mess.

    Process

I have been brewing beer kits for about 6 months but I quite fancy doing it how the big breweries do, john smiths etc (one of my favorite beers). Can anyone explain the process to me?
