Brewzilla Gen 4 - Struggling to get to boil point

Right ! I think i know what the problem was. The heating level in the RAPT Portal was set to 35%, and I'm sure that was my fault, it was my first ever brew with an all in one system and it's certainly going to take some getting used to. What I as yet do not understand is if I set the temp to...

Brewzilla Gen 4 - Struggling to get to boil point

Thanks for all the replies, after i wrapped it in the second fleece it did manage to get to 100deg. Maybe I should have stated I brew in an unheated shed, but I was surprised it struggled to get to a boil in the summer, I obviously need to buy the jacket. Yes I can set the temp higher, I had...

Brewzilla Gen 4 - Struggling to get to boil point

As the title says, it's my first brew with it and I've been trying to get the thing to 100 C for about an hour. I don't have the jacket which I figure I obviously now need, but am I doing something wrong ? Anybody else had a similar problem ? I've wrapped it in 2 fleece blankets and I've gone...

    Rice Hulls

I'm getting a stuck mash or very slow run off when using wheat & oats in my NEIPA recipe I believe rice hulls are one solution to this problem I've looked on GEB and was surprised to see there was an option for 'Crushed' or 'Not Crushed' Which one should I choose ? I would have thought 'Not...

List Of UK Spring Water - Looking for TT Landord Water Profile

Looking at that list provided, Yorkshire Spring water is bottled in Keighley, the same town as TT brewery. If they bottle it from a local well spring, it is more than possible its the same water.

List Of UK Spring Water - Looking for TT Landord Water Profile

TT have their own well water so Yorkshirewater won't know it's profile Below is copied from their website 'Brewing begins with the water (brewing liquor) being pumped from the Knowle Spring which sits beneath the brewery. A natural artesian well, it provides a constant supply of pure Pennine...

    Attenuation

Just to add my tuppence, I've a best bitter that has just finished, and I got a disappointing 68% attenuation with Liberty Bell.

Can someone clear up this recipe for me?

I did the Greg Hughes recipe but used 200g of fresh ginger instead of 150g, unfortunately the ginger was barely noticeable. If I was to do it again I'd go for 300g or even more.

    Fermzilla owners

I'm new to conical fermenters and I recently bought a fermzilla. At what point during the fermentation do you dump the trub ?
