Equipment For Sale Ss Brewtech 10 gallon Mash Tun

I know I'm probably selling it cheaper than I could otherwise sell it for but courier is such a hassle. May end up having to do that though

Equipment For Sale Ss Brewtech 10 gallon Mash Tun

Hi, I'm selling my used, but in pretty good nick, Ss Brewtech 10 gallon mash tun. Comes with false bottom (slight tear on the gasket but it holds fine). It works great and also comes with the stainless steel ball valve, and necessary washers. Due to the weight I'm reluctant to post it, so...

what is the best beer you have ever tasted?

A couple of years ago on my birthday I had a few pints in Brewdog in Glasgow. Hop fiction (on tap) blew me away. Unfortunately, the bottled version isn't a patch on it.

    Working out attenuation %

You could dilute your wort before pitching the yeast, to the desired gravity. It's what I've been doing recently, and means my brew is close to the recipe.

    Drink and drive limits. [POLL]

The food can't be that good if you need a couple of pints to enjoy it!

    Drink and drive limits. [POLL]

I agree with Terry. The reduction is more likely to be a deterrent than having a significant impact on reducing accidents in the 50-80mg/l range.

    Memorabal Beer Moments

Age 14, after being given a can of Sweetheart Stout at a family party and liking it, I persuaded all my mates to try it. 6 of us in the woods, drinking it for a few hours and wondering why we weren't getting ******. I looked at the can and realised it was only 2% abv!! Night ruined and I...

    Drink and drive limits. [POLL]

I'm not aware of rural pubs here in Scotland struggling as a result of this. Has never been mentioned, either in the news or in conversation. What did happen though, was people not being fully aware of the reduction and what that actually meant in physical terms. Loads of folk believed, and...

    Thick or thin mash?

I do BIAB brews. I recently tried full boil mashes and my mash efficiency changed not a jot. So I have stuck with this in order to shorten the brew day. My mashes now are approx 6 or 7ltrs per kg. Very thin I know, but I haven't noticed any difference come drinking time. If you miss your...

Is there a thread for February's beer of the month. Can't find anything?

    What are you drinking tonight.

First taste of my first NEIPA (I followed Stigmans's recipe). 2 weeks kegged. A little green but really impressed. A fruit bomb. Seems to have kept its pale colour (so far).

    NEW TO MILLING

I mill my grain using a 2 roller mill, with the width set to just allow a bank card fit in between (a tip from this site actually). It does seem more floury than packs of pre-crushed grain, but I assume this is because the flour will fall and compact during transit. I have no problems with...

I'm a thermopen man myself. I swear by them. One for cooking and one for beer. If one died, I'd replace it instantly.

    Bottling.

I find that the bottling wands have different flow rates. If you press fully down, the flow rate is really slow. But a softer press and the flow rate increases.
