    Biere De Garde- Maillot Jaune

I read some where that fruity esters are a characteristic of the beer and through experience Schnider weissen yeast is as good as it gets! I have had a taste out of my hydrometer vile. There are big hits of banana and malt at the moment. Moved it to rest today. If you fancy a bottle swap...

    Pale Ale

I did use the Hop Wheel to formulate the recipe. Worked out which would complement each other. Also took into account I was intending a pale ale so had in the back of my mind Larger/ wiessen beer when I chose the hops.

    Biere De Garde- Maillot Jaune

Again not a brew biff after all. Down to 1010. Going to see if this goes down anymore then move to rest on Sat. The flavor is malty with that familiar banana hit that comes with Schnider weissen. I like this one!

    King Of the Mountains

Not a brew biff after all! Down to 1012 already. The yeast is good. Taste out of the gravity vile is lovely with biscuit coming through and a grassy flavor of hops!

    King Of the Mountains

I was aiming for a Belgium-ish come French ale and have read that anywhere between 10 and 40% could be added. Also was looking for the orange colour i have seen in German wiessen beers.I was lead to believe that colour comes from TW. So there is some method to my madness.

My take on Schneider Weisse Aventus

WOW! Opened a bottle of this today while watching the Army Navy game. Big hit of creamy liquorish, toffee, plumb and roasted malty notes. For me its a winner! Will do a bottle swop on this one.

    Yeast from a brewery.

Not only that James the head brewer advised they inject O2 to keep the yeast going which unless you know someone in the NHS you are at a loss. H e advised this is not a yeast for the homebrewer. You have been warned.

    Yeast from a brewery.

Careful mate! I and 1 other went hell for leather brewing with this yeast. It was given to me from the brewery in a bag and to cut a long story short I waisted 60L of brewing on the stuff. it is a difficult yeast to use. I even contacted James the head brewer, and his word were, "I would not...
