    Bar prices

I don't drink locally because the whole point of homebrewing was that I couldn't afford to. However I agree with Nunfa1, my cheapest pints lately have been in London. Last night I had a pint of Redemption Trinity in Euston Tap at £2.90. Recently I've also paid £3.30 for a pint on Coffee in...

    Show us your stash then....

I'm amazed at how tidy most of your sheds/garages are. My stash has been massively depleted by my reluctance to bottle and the fact that I've brewed 4 x cornies of beer for my mates Jubilee party next weekend. There cornies are full of English and American Pale Ale and a RyePA I kegged...

HOMEBREWER WANTED FOR BBC ONE SHOW

I was contacted to go on the most recent Oz and Hugh. I was at the original shooting and they asked me to brew a batch of dogbolter for the final show which I sent (cost a bloody fortune) but nothing ever came of it. I won't be bothering again.

Whats the difference between these cleaning products?

I use a commercial degreaser called D2 (made by Diversey) to clean the cornies and videne to sanitise them. I have also in the past used D10 which is an all in one food safe cleaner sanitiser with no problems at all. If you can get D10, it's probably worth having a go with other than that, I'd...

    Lager in barrel

If you mean a plastic keg then, sadly, no. They have pressure relief valves that vent at 10psi; fine for ale but no good for lager I'm afraid. Unless it is a cornelius keg, I'd bottle it.

    Hi from Kent

Yes it is the Farmer's Market at the Goods Shed, specifically the Bottle Shop. It's called EK amateur brewers because it is in East Kent but we have brewers come from as far away as West Malling so no restriction. I'm not aware of other groups in Kent. If you're on twitter follow EastKentAB...

Has a brewbelt tainted my beer ?

You could also use a brewbelt with a 24 hour timeswitch. When I did some brewing demo's at Easy Home Brew we set it to heat for 15 minutes every hour. It worked really well in a very cold building, fermenting down to 1010 in 10 days with no funky flavours.

    Old Smokey

I love that beer. Are you going to keg it all or bottle and keg? (Wednesday must be brewing porn day - all I can see on FB, twitter and on here are brewery mods).

    SIX NATIONS RUGBY

England clearly won't win as they are playing the "only score a try form a charge down" rule.

Thanks for this Farmbrew Luckily I found a pitching rate calculator on the web which came to pretty much the same conclusions as you. Wrote about it here.
