    Any advice welcome.

Have a look at the priming calculator in the calculators tab at the top of the screen. Here: http://www.brewersfriend.com/beer-priming-calculator/ Should show you what you need. Cheers

    All grain equipment

BIAB has no time advantage over 3 vessels as far as I am aware. I BIAB and it takes about 5 hrs start to finish but with gaps in the middle whilst the mash and boil are on. If you want to do "true" BIAB (although I hate that term) where you mash with all your water and don't sparge then you...

    What's your music taste like?

Hey Cwrw, you and your band of merry Morris men weren't performing outside a pub in Fishguard last Saturday were you?

At what stage to bottle a kolsch?

I've done Kölsch a few times. As Covrich said, just follow your normal ale schedule. It's a really nice beer, one of my favourites.

    What are you drinking tonight?

That's very kind of you doj, we could have done a swap. I've packed plenty of my beer, about 6 different types, but we go cross country. It's quicker than going all the way round on the motorway. Plus the scenery is better. Cheers

    AG5 - Wheat Beer thingymajig

I used 4g per 500ml bottle so 8g per litre. I don't batch prime as most of my bottles are either from a small batch brew or the left overs from filling a keg. After a week it's carbed up quite nicely and looks the part in a wheat beer glass. Just can't get over how clear it is. I mean crystal...

    AG5 - Wheat Beer thingymajig

Weirdly my wheat beer is the clearest beer I've made yet. It's only been in bottle for a week where it's been sat in the airing cupboard. Just shows you don't need to cold crash everything. How much sugar did you prime with?

    What are you drinking tonight?

Change of plan, husband has pinched the wheat beer so I'm left with the barley wine. Suppose I'll manage.

    What are you drinking tonight?

Just finished packing the caravan for a week away with the family in Pembrokeshire. Am now knackered as I seem to be the only one capable of packing. Had to make sure the beer was stowed safely  Anyway, sitting down to an elderflower blonde and then I may have a wheat beer.

    Hi from Cornwall

    Hello & welcome.

    Ok.....i need you all

Yep it's definitely clibit's simple AG method that I value most of all. AG opened up the ability to try so many different styles, to develop recipes of my own and encouraged me to delve deeper into the technicalities and nuances of brewing. But also just the fact that if you're unsure of...

    Postal Bottle Swap 2

They are lovely glasses, if a bit thin as you say. I have this set: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00BTPUQZO/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 but really like the look of that stout glass.

    Everyones next planned brew?

Thinking of doing a fraoch next, although I haven't developed a recipe yet. I think Cwrw666 has done one so I'll have to have a search for the thread for inspiration.

    What are you drinking tonight?

Started with the Dragon Stout. Got the ABV wrong above as I didn't have my glasses on (bloody middle age :nono:). It's actually 7.5% and you can tell. It comes in a 284ml bottle thankfully. I found it a little thin compared to other stouts I have tried, including my own oatmeal one, but this...

    What are you drinking tonight?

Thought we'd have a night off my beer. As I don't have a local bottle shop I had to resort to Tesco. The only one I haven't tried before is the Dragon stout which comes in at 7.2%, but I'm looking forward to the Atlantic more than anything else. Nicer than Doom Bar IMHO. Shame it's in a clear...

    New cigarette packets.

I don't think this legislation is aimed at people who have been smoking a long time. I think it's an attempt to put young people off smoking and the banning of 10 packs is an attempt to make it harder for kids to afford to buy cigarettes in the first place. Not sure if the 10 pack thing is a...

    Postal Bottle Swap 2

Thanks for the review DA. Glad you enjoyed it. It's still very young but I liked it so much that I've already brewed a bigger 20l batch for the kegorator. I've added some torrified wheat to help with head retention although it tends to stick around a bit more when you force carb with co2 anyway...
