    Posting beer to Austria

As the title suggests, is it realistic to send a dozen bottles of HB to a friend in Austria or is the shipping/duty prohibitive?

    Pellet hops and vegetable bags

I use leaf hops almost exclusively and when adding them to the boil kettle I use a vegetable bag. As a result I get virtually no hop debris in the bottom of the kettle or through to the fermenter. Does anyone use this system for pellet hops and does it work in a similar way or can I expect to...

    Help! Harvest advice needed

Hi Hop pickers. Just harvesting my hops and have cut the bines down. However, I now have to go away for a week! Should I: A) Freeze the 'wet' hop cones in batches three times heavier than I'd usually use them? Or B) Leave the picked hop cones to dry in the garage for a week naturally and...

    25kg sack price?

What are the best prices around at the moment? It's that long since I bought a sack they all seem expensive! Thanks Putin!

    Electric Brewery Control Panel Build

If anyone is considering going down the Electric Brewery Route, Control Panel (Part 1) drop me a message before going on your shopping spree. I was planning to build a 30A one and bought all the bits and pieces including a S/H cabinet but I never got around to doing the build and am likely to...

Equipment For Sale Garage (Brewery) Clearance

I need to get my brewery into a smaller area so I’m looking to offload some of the things that I rarely use or have never used! You know, the stuff you amass when first setting out on the brewing journey and every idea you see looks essential! Then after a couple of years brewing you've settled...

    Brew UK Delivery

Ordered a sack of MO on Tuesday, delivered today. Good service. But that's not the reason for this post. The delivery driver (a very cheerful darker skinned chap) brought it to the front door and said "Be careful, it's very heavy." I told him I knew and that it was grain for brewing beer...

Best Malbec Kit for a first timer?

I brew beer all grain (lots of beer) and I do a 40 bottle batch of elderflower Shampagne every year but I've never tried making wine. Can someone who does lots of these please recommend a good Malbec kit for me to try? And anything I need to watch out for as a first timer! :)

    100L Stainless Stock Pots

Anyone know of a good price (and stock) on 100L stainless stock pots? Malt Miller and Angel seem to be out of stock but I've asked my wife to get me one as a Christmas present. BTW, after Santa has been I'll be selling my 70 litre with holes cut for ball valve, sight glass and 3kw element if...

Mini Keg Caps and Pliable Gas Line

As the thread title suggests, I want to find a small quantity of the clear plastic caps (not the grey silicone bungs) used in the filling holes of new, empty 5L mini kegs when they're in storage. I'd also like to source two or three metres of the pliable gas line that can be coiled inside a keezer.

    3kw Element Recommendation needed

I need to replace the 3kw element in my HLT and am looking for recommendations. The one I need to replace (and therefore need to bear in mind for hole size) came from Brewbuilder and required a 32.5mm hole cutting in the pot. A direct replacement from Brewbuilder will cost me £65 including...

    Elderflower 'Champagne' Sweetness

Hi all, earlier this year (and with help from members) I knocked up a batch of Elderflower. I bottled it three weeks ago and opened the first two of them at the weekend. It was amazing, clear, lively and perfect for me and my best mate. However, our wives found it too dry to their taste and...

    Boil Off

What sort of hourly boil off are members that use three-vessel systems getting? I did a water test in my 75L stockpot with 3kw element yesterday and it was surprisingly higher than I'd been expecting - 9.2 litres after an hour of rolling boil.

    Kveik (After two years)

To save me and hundreds like me from wading through 68!!!! pages of the main Kveik thread, is there a Kveik basics thread on here? Never used it, I generally use dry Nottingham, SA05 or BRY97 and when I first started brewing five years ago used to use White Labs and building starters. I don't...

    Confused by Elderflower 'Champagne'

So here's the thing. Knocked up 25 litres of Elderflower 'Champagne' on Wednesday evening. 40 heads, 4 kilos of sugar, eight lemons (zest and juice) and a sachet of Crossmyloof sparkling wine yeast. Once all mixed in the fermenter the hydrometer read 1.058. Two days later there have been no...

    Pilgrim Hops

Anyone know an online store (not Keg Kingdom) which has Pilgrim hops (leaf) in stock and is taking orders? I only want a couple of hundred grams and a similar amount of Bramling Cross.

    CO2 Regulator recommendations wanted

I want a second CO2 regulator. Am I really going to have to spend another £50 to get one that doesn't pack up after a couple of months? Anybody found a bargain they can recommend?

Any posters who have gone commercial? I’m at the stage where I’m filling in the consent applications for water usage and drainage on a 6BBL. How do you estimate those? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
