    Happy St. Patrick's Day

Burco, buffalo, brupak, bucket or other?

I thought it would be perfect for the OP as he can do a few extract brews or have a crack at BIAB as its ready to go now on the stovetop if he dosn't fancy fitting an element.

Burco, buffalo, brupak, bucket or other?

I've made orders from a number of homebrew sites, and funny enough i got an email from one today. They have a stainless steel pot with tap and hop strainer which could give you another option to look at. http://www.brewuk.co.uk/store/ag-equipm ... s-pan.html

    Barolo

I finished making Beaverdale Barolo 30 bottle kit in late september paid roughly £40 for the kit. I racked the wine into 3 DJ's and 10 bottles to mature. Like Eric i changed the kit yeast for a Lalvin yeast after hearing it would give better results. Looking forward to sampling this after 6...

    Flavour into Cider

I only used 100gram of Eucalyptus honey to the gallon, i gently heated a cinnamon stick in a litre of apple juice for 15 minutes. The mixture was brown in the DJ and i thought i made a mistake, but it fermented out and finished a lovely orange colour and it tasted very nice indeed.

    Flavour into Cider

Most on here are better qualified to answer your question better than me, but i did a gallon of cider using Honey rather than sugar and it turned out great. :drink:

    Variations of WOW!

I have made a few WOW type wines now, and have been very pleased with the results. My first couple of DJ's were original. Then made a Tropicana Tropical varient which went down even better with those i shared it with, and suits my taste better. I have a varient maturing in DJ's that tastes spot...

    "dead" nog

I had the same thing happen recently with my first brew, a Wherry. Rouse the yeast with a gentle stir and you should find it will get going again. I have read many threads on stuck fermentation, and it appears that some kits are prone to sticking at 1020, give it a stir first and see how you get...

    First Beer Brew

I put on my first brew a Wherry last wednesday (25th) my o.g. reading was 1040 and i left it until yesterday to take a hydrometer reading. The reading i got was 1020 and it appears the fermentation has stuck. After reading many threads on here i roused the yeast and bubbling soon appeared in the...

    Newbie from London

Thank you Samarith, i must say the Wurzel's was something else! The airlock started bubbling within half an hour, and the kitchen has been filled with the most wonderfull smell this past week. I am stuck on only one thing and that is the topping up. I filled up to the shoulder of the DJ and now...

    Turbo Cider Question

I have a question as well, rather than start another thread :D I put on my first ever brew on wednesday 4th, 1 gallon batch in a DJ, O.G reading 1040. Everything went well and yesterday i noticed the airlock has stopped bubbling. I took a reading and its now down to 1.000. My question is what...
