    Slovenian Aurora Wolf Pale

Had a try of this last night, it is very drinkable!! It is a very smooth beer which I presume partly comes from the Munich Malt. There is an initial fruity (slightly tropical) taste which then develops with some floral notes. This is quite subtle and not in your face or overpowering. My wife...

How long for chemipro cleaned water to 'reverse'

Not sure that I would want to use this water for gardening, but I think you would be pretty safe using it as soon as you want for cleaning floors etc. You would need to check that if you were adding any other cleaning product that it did not react with any residual chemicals from your initial...

    Slovenian Aurora Wolf Pale

This is how it looks when I bottled it, really pleased with the colour and the clarity. It has a nice citrus kick to it. I can imagine this will be really nice chilled in the summer. Now just need to leave it to carbonate and condition, but first impressions are that this is not going to last...

    Candi sugar acid

I am surprised that it is not easy to get, as it is supposed to be a by-product from wine making. Have you tried to find it using it's chemical name - Potassium bitartrate or even potassium hydrogen tartrate? Not sure what the french translation is, but it should be reasonably similar.

    Slovenian Aurora Wolf Pale

Last Thursday (28th Jan) I decided to use 2 of the hop types that I got in the recent give away. I thought that the Aurora and Wolf seemed to be a good combination to start with. As my biggest pot is one of the Buckingham "15" litre (actually about 12 litres) I decided to do a 5 l batch. The...

    Forum T-Shirt.

Like the design, I would like one of these. If they are going to be approx £7, I presume that will make them around £10 with p&p added?

Notlaw, it's food grade plastic so will be safe to use. You could even drill a hole in the lid to put an airlock in if you wanted to.

Get'erBrewed Craft a Beer giveaway (Amber Malt)

This has had a couple of weeks in the house, and then a couple of weeks in the fridge since bottling. I tried it out last night and I am impressed. It has a definite grapefruit tone, with something else, slightly tropical, I would say. It is more bitter than I would usually go for, but it is not...

Get'erBrewed Craft a Beer giveaway (Amber Malt)

I bottled this yesterday. The final gravity was 1.011, so I make that just over 4.1% abv. I have just under 21 litres (there are a mixture of 500ml and 330ml bottles). I did have to empty 1 down the sink, as the neck broke on the bottle when I was capping it. That's the 1st time I can...

Get'erBrewed Craft a Beer giveaway (Amber Malt)

Took a gravity reading yesterday and it was just below 1.015 so decided to add the hop tea as per instructions. 3 hop tea bags were supplied, they are a mix of Ella and Nelson Sauvin. It does not say what the split is between the 2 hop types. It says to add the hop tea bags to a cup of...

Get'erBrewed Craft a Beer giveaway (Amber Malt)

Sorry for not posting sooner, actual brewday was on 23rd October. The initial brew was nearly the same as any other kit, apart from adding the isomerised hop solution (in this case 60 IBU's). I warmed the 2 cans in a pan of warm water. I also re-hydrated the yeast (Safale US-05) in some boiled...

Get'erBrewed Craft a Beer giveaway (Amber Malt)

No minimum spend, but they don't appear to have reduced postage rates for small items. I wanted some more pale malt, so ordered 10kg of their Irish pale malt to try it out.
