    What are you drinking 2024.

Krug Bräu Pilsner. Not as bitter as I was expecting, and quite an earthy hop character.

    What are you drinking 2024.

The better half stuck in M25 traffic so have opened a Keiler Helles. This is the most similar to my own out of the ones I've had today.

    Witbier - which wheat?

That's what I use. TMM used to sell raw wheat (neither malted nor gelatinsed) specifically for Belgian beers but they seem to be out of stock. Flaked is a good balance between flavour and functionality (no cereal mash needed) for me.

    What are you drinking 2024.

Now a Grüner Vollbier Hell. More modern branding than the last two. That'll probably be it for me until later this evening.

    Witbier - which wheat?

Unmalted is traditional, but I use a mix of malted and unmalted flaked wheat, and some flaked oats and works well for me. Torrified is unmalted, but perhaps has a different flavour to flaked? Do you have a whole foods shop near you that may stock wheat flakes?

    What are you drinking 2024.

A bitteen of my mixed ferm beer/wine hybrid. The sulphur has gone and this is just about what I was aiming for. Have keg conditioned but will bottle soon and allow it to develop further in the bottle for a few months.

    YeastFace Brewdays

500g which was ~11%. Not sure it's enough to have much flavour impact, but should be foam positive. Some Strisselspalt leaf FWH for foam, Magnum, then Spalter Select for flavour and aroma. Next 2 lagers will be all British ingredients though (if I can get something like Carafa Special, going...

    YeastFace Brewdays

Spelt Pilsner brewed yesterday. Had help with the brew, but didn't start until gone 12 so was a bit of a slog in all honesty. Glad I decided against a decoction as that would have sucked all fun out of the day. Had to extend boil as pre-boil volume was higher than it should have been. Was 1...
