    SodaStream Adapter

I have one as a backup, but they're a bit of a pain. Can take a while to get them adjusted the first time you use them so they push down the pin on the Sodastream bottle just enough. I too use Woodlands in Thirsk (who are great), and lasts me years rather than months for the same cost.

    Beer line leak

John Guest would be ideal, do you know where I can get a suitable short shank with an elbow that would take one? Thanks.

    Beer line leak

I'm upgrading the taps on my Mango Jack kegerator to Intertap forward sealing ones, but I'm having problems with the line leaking where it connects to the short shank, even if I re-use the original 8mm ID beer line. The shank looks like it could do with replacing. What shanks and beer lines are...

ANY REVIEWS FOR THE MANGO JACKS KEGERATOR PLEASE

Be interested in hearing what taps you changed to, and if you had to change the line length. Had mine a while now and the taps and the pipes are the biggest let down. Taps glue shut if you don't use them for a while so will move to a perlick forward sealing one in future. Also, the pipes seem...

    Tilt Hydrometer

I still take a reading via a hydrometer at the end, but use the tilt to determine when to ramp up the temperature or cold crash. I started fermenting on Thursday, had reached final gravity by Monday, so it's now going to be warmed for a few days before cold crashing, as per the Brulosophy...

    Tilt Hydrometer

There was a discussion a little while ago, I find mine very useful https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/threads/tilt-hydrometers.76034/&share_tid=76034&share_fid=34843&share_type=t Sent from my LG-H870 using Tapatalk

ANY REVIEWS FOR THE MANGO JACKS KEGERATOR PLEASE

I have one of these too. It's pretty good, it's easy to move, fits my three kegs, and the temperature control is great. The fridge itself is high quality, but the fittings are a bit on the cheap side maybe. The one I received was dinged a little bit - cosmetic dent in the side, rail on top...

    Tilt Hydrometers

I've got one, and think it's great! As pointed out above, crud on the tilt can affect gravity readings, but I use it to look for a consistent reading for fermentation end, taking a final reading with a regular hydrometer. It's really helped get my fermentation time down - this plus cold...

Best freezer / fridge for corny kegs?

I bought one of these but my kegs don't fit :-(. Guess your kegs are smaller than 21.5 cm in diameter. I thought new ones were around 22cm, so it would be OK. Maybe the fridge is slightly smaller these days. Back it goes...

What would you brew for 'regular folk'?

In the end I did a pale ale, maris otter with a little bit of crystal, plus challenger, fuggles and styrian Goldings. However, three weeks after brewing it tastes a little... burnt? Is that a characteristic of maris otter? It's only about 2% crystal, so not sure where the flavour came from. I...

What would you brew for 'regular folk'?

We'll see, only a small do, might get away with just one 19 litre keg, two at most.

What would you brew for 'regular folk'?

Looks like I'll be doing a brew for a village event. I tend to make more specialist beers, what would you make for a group of people who have no idea what a Belgian blonde is? I'm thinking something neutral like a London Pride style. Guess I'm looking for a decent bitter that's not to dull...

    Sodastream keg system

The black washer sounds like a good idea, the provided o ring doesn't leave much leeway on the pin length. What pressure are you serving at? I see people say they serve at 5-10 psi, but if it's less than 1 bar (14.5 psi) that's less than atmospheric pressure and wouldn't force anything out?

Much more successful second try. Now need to reduce the foaming.

    Sodastream keg system

Tried to connect my SodaStream to the regulator today and it went disastrously wrong. I couldn't get any gas to come out so had to keep unscrewing it and adjusting the pin half a turn at a time. When it did eventually engage, I couldn't get the gas to stop coming out - it was leaking out of the...
