    SMaSH using Experimental 102/44

Sorry for being slow with replying, I've been living in the french Alps for the last 6 months with limited internet access and not doing any brewing. With the Exp 102/44 hop i definitely got more floral flavours from it than citrus, so might work for what you want, think I've got a bottle...

1BBL Pilot/Hobby Brewery for sale near Gatwick

Sorry to hear it didn't work out as planned for you, you kindly PM'd me a while back saying I'd be welcome to come look around which I intended to do but sadly never got around to (and rudely didn't reply...sorry). I've just accepted a job overseas otherwise would have been possibly...

    June 23rd celebration brew

Already brewed a beer with a group of friends to mark this occasion... we called it "Farage EU C**t"

Sounds good, I'm bottling another IPA (Chinook, Citra & Sorachi Ace) on Sunday. So if that's all gone well I'll have another option ready in a couple of weeks. Quite possibly my last batch for a while though as I'm moving to the French Alps for 6 months at the beginning of November, which on...

    Bottler Opener.

My trusty key ring bottle opener from a Christmas cracker is probably my most used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Being walking distance I did pop in, was bonkers on Friday so went with the OH on Saturday. Had a good selection of beers in. I've got some IPA conditioning that I'd be happy to swap a bottle or two.

    Rumble in the calais jungle...

Bloody hell, that doesn't sound good. I was over a couple of weeks ago and fortunately didn't have any issues. Been through a few times having to avoid characters walking down the side of the road but nothing much worse than that. Good to hear you and the beer made it away unscathed.

GeterBrewed Single Hop Citra Mash Kit

Wow that looks super dark in the picture, more like a Black IPA. Was only joking about them using scraps, so that's a bit worrying. Be good to know if they come back to you as to what they think it should be like.

    Hop Tea Question.

Gave the hop tea a go yesterday, all seemed fairly straight forward using a cafetière. Now just a couple of weeks in the bottle to see how it panned out.

Fruit fly and hot weather, a bad combination :(

I had this with my latest brew. sample I took at bottling tasted fine, been in the bottle for a week and had an early taste and it was still drinkable. Pretty sure it's going to turn to vinegar eventually but between now and then I'm going to drink a "healthy" amount.

Everything the misses says sounds like "glub-glub" but it's nicer hearing it from the FV

    Hop Tea Question.

Back at Ubrew next week to bottle so I'll get a pic of the price board if I remember. Generally as I brew there I usually take a couple of bottles of my last batch with me unless they have something that particularly takes my fancy.

    Hop Tea Question.

Ubrew is a fantastic idea but I can't help but feel a little like they've been a victim of their own success. They're starting to update stuff and make some overdue changes but I think up until recently it could have been managed better. They're not overly transparent or consistent with their...

    Hop Tea Question.

I've been brewing at UBrew since May, although I've yet to have a batch that hasn't got infected 2-3 weeks after bottling. They're blaming someone using some brett/wild yeast and have finally replaced all the hoses this week after many complaints.

    Hop Tea Question.

Think I'll do a test run prior to bottling day with a small amount of hops to see how it works out.

    Hop Tea Question.

This is what I did when brewing at home but now I have to travel an hour to the place that I brew. Plus I like the idea of not loosing a couple of bottles to the additional hops.
