    Easy Keg 5L

I used 13g priming sugar (think it's dextrose). 12.5g was the calculation but my scales are only in 1g increments. The primed kegs were left in the fermentation fridge at 20c for 2 weeks then transferred to an unheated room at about 15/16c for a further 2 weeks. Fridge 2 days before tapping...

    Easy Keg 5L

Ok I had a little success I now have a drinkable pint not overly carbed by any means but a lot more pleasant than it was flat. I did the inject a bit at a time rocking for twenty minutes on its side venting a little now and again to bubble more through. Left it overnight and then rocked it a...

    Jobs?

Know the feeling, I've been sparking since I served my time at 16. Never strayed to far from it but I have worked in a lot of different industries from tyre manufacture through textiles and water to tobacco and now rail. Might have to settle at this one getting to old to keep learning new...

    Kozel Clone

Been playing with beersmith and trying to work a clone for Kozel from the dark lager recipes and the little info I could find about it. ie- abv 3.8/4.0%ish and saaz hops. What do you think? Worth a try or full of rookie mistakes? First attempt at creating and beersmith both.

    Easy Keg 5L

Hmm, I added co2 upright them tipped and shook gently for a couple of minutes then repeated for a period of about 20mins. If I get time later I'll see how much has I've got left to play with.

    Easy Keg 5L

Well I gave it a go and it wasn't remotely successful unfortunately. Thinking of getting a sodastream to rescue uncarbonated beer with. Anyone had any success doing this or is it a bad idea? Sorry bit of topic but it is to rescue a minikeg that I screwed up the priming off ;)

    Used bottles storage in street

Yes just make sure you get an unscented version so there's less chance of passing on unwanted flavours.

Very first brew: St Pter's Ruby Red

I'm a starsan fan too, small bottle last ages its great stuff. The ruby red was the first homebrew I had tasted in years a friend in work asked me to try a few of his bottles and let him know what I thought of them :drink: Liked them so much I bought a shed load of kit and am brewing my own
