    Back again...

Morning all, life things got in the way of my brewing and I've been away for a loooooong time back now though!! I've got 2 kits in storage that I'm hoping to pimp up at the end of the month and I'm moving away from bottles ( alot of faffing) so I'll be investing in pressure barrels. Any...

    Well chuffed!

Treacle stout (again!) At 6.8ish% and wheat vanilla beer at 4.8% sampled. Stout is 2 weeks in the bottle and the wheat will be 2 weeks this Wednesday. Well impressed, wheat beer very banana-ery (but hardly any vanilla). 2 coopers kits next, and when they're done I'll be heading towards 200...

    Wilko gervin yeast

Hi all, what's the highest abv you can expect to get from a wilkos gervin and how does it compare to yeasts in the coopers kits? Cheers!

    Batch prime

I'm bottling my wilkos wheat beer today, and I'm at a loss for what to use to batch prime?? I'm thinking maybe honey but just wandering if anyone has used anything else, or is simple table sugar the best option?

    Swmbo

Does anyone else's significant other glaze over when you start to passionately try to share your knowledge of our wonderful hobby? Ive just been explaining why we should go to love brewing today to pick up 2 kits and spare bucket for bottling and she just picked her phone up and pretended she...

    Bottling

Does anyone use anything other than a fermenting bucket to rack from a primary to batch prime then bottle? Local wilkos shuts at 5.30 and I can never get there in time after work, just wandering if there's alternatives from b and q etc? Cheers all.

    Wilko cerveza

Morning all! I've had one of the above in a fermenter for just over 2 weeks, in fact it will be 3 weeks this Saturday. It's been quite a slow ferment, is it wise to leave it or get it off the trub before 3 weeks? Thank you

    Brews and travel

I might have access to a large commercial kitchen to get a good few brews on for Christmas, and some demijons of wine. Once brewed and put in fermenters etc would it be OK to transport it home in a car? The journey would be less than 10 minutes? Cheers all!!!

    Trump v Clinton

Anyone else looking for to this showdown? I can't wait, booked the day off work after the event- planning on staying up to watch it all live. For me, Trump is the best of a bad bunch; Clinton is so crooked and corrupt she'd probably cause WW3. Interested to hear everyone else's thoughts?
