Since July last year I've been helping to build, wire and design a 12bbl brewery for Tenby Brewing Co. In early Feb they...

    2 Vessel Kettle-RIMS

Hi guys, it's been a while! I've been rather busy of late so I've not brewed properly for a few months. Anyway I decided to take the opportunity to start modding my kit. I've relocated my kit to my workplace so that I can work on it after hours. I'm gradually turning my two vessel single...

    Wanted - Brew Kettle 30L - 50L

I'm looking to complete my system with a brew kettle. So far I've been doubling up and using my HLT as a kettle too. I'm after a burco style boiler or a buffalo, even a home made stock pot boiler will be fine as long as the build quality is reasonable. All I require is that it is made from...

    PP Kalifornien

So this was my first all grain brew, numero uno, AG#1. It was also the very first recipe that I designed my self ,by hand. No brew calculators involved. It's a California Common, aka steam beer and I think it was good enough to share with you guys. PP refers to the hops, Phoenix and Perle...

    Serving Temperature

So I've had a few of bottles of my Witbier and have had them at varying temperatures. I've found that they serve best when lightly chilled/ just below room temp. Any colder and all the body and nice flavours disappear. Is this pretty normal?

So it begins, after sorting out the brakes on my car all afternoon it was time to set up shop for tomorrows brew! Uncovering Treasure

So I was rummaging through the shed to gather some bottles to bottle up my Hasselhops Porter when right at the back I found some full ones. I Checked the caps for my mark and it turned out to be a Belgian Tripel that I had made from a 9L Brewferm kit over a year ago! I remember that it was...

First Wit Bottled, How's it look?

Here is my first ever attempt at a Belgian wit, it tasted nice whilst bottling, albeit flat.It was my own recipe too, I'll share it if the beer turns out nicely when carbed. The only problem was the FG at 1.013, which was a little high for the style. Only bottled a few in clear bottles to keep...

    Mashed High But thin.

So I brewed a porter last weekend with an OG of 1.058 at 20 litres. Mashed it high at around 68-69°C. Unfortunately after doughing in I left the valves open and ended up with a mash thickness of about 4l/kg when I had originally intended 2.5 l/kg. I also ended up with a hotter...

Hello, my name is Tim and I'm 27. I used to be an electrician and I'm moving on to electrical design engineering and most importantly I've got the brewing bug. I'm mainly into beer, but I'm not averse to the odd batch of hedgerow wine. I've got three all grain brews under my belt on my...
