    NEIPA HELP

So I had the best AG brew day I’ve had and built a mash tun especially, all went well! Pitched the yeast and fermentation was done in a week, then I tried it before dry hopping. I have a smoky taste, I can’t pinpoint where I’ve gone wrong but I am gutted. I have read about phenolic flavours but...

    Post Fermentation Help

Hi all, Ive took a little break from brewing due to being a bit frustrated at my AG brew. I completed 2 ag brews using biab method, 1 hour boils adding additions. Spent around £60 on 3 more brews but all of them have come out with a chemical taste, which even for me is unbearable. I followed...

Normal sanitation procedure. Am I doing it right?

i fill the bath (downstairs at the back of the house) up with sterilising solution and drop everything in for ten mins max then rinse. When bottling I fill the bath again then fill an fv with rinsing water, speeds up the process too.

    American Pale Mess!!!

I’d say it was more sterile tasting but you have raised an interesting point, all my brews have sat on a heat mat with insulation around and never had a problem. This brew was done when we had the heat wave in summer so poss could have been too warm. I think I used Young’s Sterilising Powder...

BUT I’ve had to pour 10litres down the drain today every bottle tasted like it was chemically, I thought it might be sterile solution? The recipe...

    Sparge Technique BIAB

I quite like this for ease, is it quite efficient then? How do you work out efficiency? My last brew with a dunk sparge I thought I got pretty close to the recommended OG

    Delirium Red Clone

The red is sweet and tastes like cherry drops, it's around 8% too i think. It doesn't say anything other than the above, I was going to use geterbrewed and order it exactly. I'm assuming you'd add the cherries after the boil but not too sure.
