    long day tomorrow

    Need to prep for Xmas YES not far away. tomorrow a beaverdale chateau do roi , sav blanc both 30 botts, then a directors 40 pints, and a geordie bitter but enhanced with our sons kentish hops fresh from farm! happy days, oh and if time anothe batch of rhubarb wine from garden.

    finishing suffolk old , now ready to do a directors and a geordie but spiked up with hops from farm our son lives/works on!!

    Think I am lucky

    Our son lives/married on a farm in Kent apart from arable,sheep, fruit they also have hops. He is responsible for harvesting and drying them ( in the oast now) I have a regular supply of hops, they win awards every year so happy days!

    best mug ' builders tea' stand spoon up, but I do like an Earl or lady grey in the morning after brekkie!

    Used a few companies, hop shop ,plymouth are good, as is homebrewshop in Farnborough ( used these a lot when lived in Woking! I went on to Art of brewing but sadly in my opinion when they were took over, lost the plot! I found this site burnleyhomebrew.co.uk. use them everytime, great service...

    put up 5gall sauv blanc, 5gall pinot and 5gall father hook yesterday, also barrelled 5 gall suffolk old ale

    just done a demijohn of rhubarb. East recipe,3lb stalks ,3lb sugar, leave overnight then strain into demijohn and top up! fingers crossed, not done before but have so much rhubarb, might as well have a go!

    couple of pints geordie+ hops from sons farm, then onto pinot made from tetrapak grapejuice!!

    just finished kent ale, brewed by shepherd neame for sainsbury. now on to smugglers homebrew (muntons) with a couple of pinot by beaverdale, hmm feeling good!!:thumb::thumb:

    had a couple of 'dry' days now a couple of geordie bitter supplemented with hops from sons farm in kent! now on hobgoblin ruby, just built a boot/brewroom and a walk in larder so temp is really good for beer as good asa cellar!

    just had a maplemoon from holts, very nice, then a seafury from sharps, not much taste. before that my own stuff a geordie bitter but enhanced with hops from my son's farm in kent, very quaffable but then I am probably biased!

    Turbo cider.

    just done Muntons oak cask ale, VERY heavy! not much oak and it is cross between stout and a porter, doubt if I will do again, going to try the muntons smuggler next. The directors is brilliant, that is my regular ale now!

    just finished the directors barrel. another ready to start along with a basic geordie.Then have a muntons oaked ale and a directors brewing. also a 5 gall chardonney semilion and a cab sav:smile:

    A O B have just introduced a courage directors 36 pint kit for 25 quid. just ordered great beer,fingers crossed it will be good. :thumb:
