    geterbrewed.

    I use both in my Grainfather. But rather than chance a blocked filter I use cheap tights and make hop "bombs" saves a bit cleaning aswell. Take out and bin after the boil. Cheers John

    Oooppppssss. Glad I stumbled over this thread!!! Ive been doing 1/2 oz per 5 litre for each brew day then dumping it.. Sometimes using 2 loads.... Thatll be stopping now.

    Temptation got the betterof myself again and cracked a bottle of my Rosehip Saison open. I only bottled it on Saturday.. A bit chill haze but it is stunning a proper summer brew. And my 1st full brew from the Grainfather. Cheers John

    Mmm do a Lager/ Californian common type beer with a Yeast thatll work at about 15c, if you can ferment at that temp. Personally I would go with lager malt instead. Vienna may be a bit malty for your hops. Cheers John

    Ive just done a larger brew similar to that. I used WLP 028 yeast and its lovely. Not unlike a 70:- but lighter in colour. I used a 90 min boil Hops were 70, 50, and 20 min Cheers John

    Oopppsss never posted grain bill etc!!! 4.5kg grain lager and caramalt. I dont know the exact split as I was done a favour. 30grm perle at 60 20grm perle at 15 150grm rosehip at 15 T-spoon irish moss at 15 WLP 566 Begian Saison 2 Mash at 64c for 1 hour Boil 1 hour.
