    Secret Santa 2019 Reviews

Second beer - Rudolph's nose. Nice carbonation (looks more frothy than it should be due to me pouring it badly!). Once again, a really nice IPA that I enjoyed drinking, although at 6.5% wouldn't be drinking many in one night! Thanks very much

First beer - america pale man. Good carbonation, poured well and kept its fizz throughout drinking. I really liked this beer as I found the hop taste to be nice and subtle and not over powering. Also loved the label! Thanks santa!!!

Pumpkin Ale - Add pumpkin to Mash or Boil?

I had read in a couple of places that the pumpkin doesn't add much flavour (and I will be adding spice to the boil) but I couldn't make a Pumpkin Ale without any Pumpkin!! So 2 replies so far, one added it to the mash and the other into primary! Has anybody else tried it in the mash?

I have googled various recipes and come up with one for myself but not sure if I should put the pumpkin into the mash or the boil?? Im going to slice the pumpkin, cover in brown sugar and then in the oven for 2 to 3 hours then...

Schnee Weizen - First wheat success

Have you tried googling 'Oktoberfest' instead. There are some nice US Oktoberfest beers (Great Lakes, Sam Adams etc). And what about Paulaner? That's another German brewery

Mash Tun - Weld the copper joints?

Thanks guys. Can I just confirm though that when you mean 'cleaning', you dont mean cleaning the inside of the copper tubing?? Im planning on welding (or partial welding!) my copper tubes together but then having an attachment to my cooler so I can remove the whole assembly in one go for...

Mash Tun - Weld the copper joints?

After a extract brews im now venturing into the world of AG and building my first Mash Tun. I have all the copper and joints, drilled what feels like 3000 holes in the copper and just about to weld it all together when I saw a post that advises not to weld so that you can take it apart for...
