Where did the name come from?

exactly, quote from Wikipedia; "The name Campden tablet comes from the town of Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire, England, where the original solution was developed in the 1920s by the Fruit and Vegetable Preserving Research Station - now Campden BRI. The idea was then taken up by the Boots...

    Temperature for storring beer?

My kegs sat in the shed all winter and it went way below many times, no harm done, maybe a little chill haze but that clears when it warms again. Dont forget if stored in bulk, i.e keg, the large volume of liquid will stay some degrees warmer than ambient due to its bulk. (thats a beer fact...

Sugar granules reforming in wine when bottled

What do you think of this pressure barrel?

Cheers Wez, I like your style with the KK setup, but I am currently happy just filling my old Charles Wells beer trug straight from the tap. ;) Was just considering Cornies if the price wasn't as I expected! I mean shiny cant mean gotta have, can it? :?

What do you think of this pressure barrel?

So is 100+ about the going rate to set up a Cornie? I'm not that keen on using my KK top taps, but they are reliable, and cheaper. I also tend to make smaller, stronger brews of about 15ish L so a 19L cornie would suit grand, plus take up very little room, and be very shiny  So am I...
