Hi,
I have some of my old brew stuff for sale.
First up, is a copper immersion chiller. £25 ono. Collection from Scunthorpe.
Next up is my temperature controller fridge, with ink bird controller. £70 ono. Collection from Scunthorpe.
Anybody any tips and direction for somebody thats not new to brewing (been brewing 60l batches of IPA, ale, lager etc for a while now) but that has a sudden hankering after cider?
I like the Thatchers Vintage/Katie types and want to make something to stick in a corny and force carb and drink...
Since The Malt Miller no longer allows you to order less than 500g of grain whilst it works out how to build a recipe builder again, and BrewUK just spins and spins and spins and never actually saves a recipe - Where can I build and buy per recipes grain?
I don't want to but in per 500g weights...
Well, I have my first brew on for almost 4 months. Brewing my ââ¬Ëhouseââ¬â¢ brew to get me back into it.
Anybody any ideas for turbo extractor fan so I can still brew in the house? The built in one on the hob is ****.
Brewing a hobgob gold clone at weekend and going to use bottled water for the first time to see if it makes a difference.
Is ashbeck from tesco best? Or other suggestions?
Cheers
Going to try a turbo cider but want to flavour it and stick it on draught rather than naturally carb.
Do I just put the lowiczs in after ferment, chill and carb or some other way?
Hoping to serve from tap.
I have a rent free CO2 bottle and I had a leak last night resulting in most of it going.
Anywhere in Scunny to get it refilled? Normally use Yorkshie CO2 but cba to go Doncaster.
Brewed inside for the first time yesterday. Went great apart from the steam.
We have a hotpoint built in extractor. I removed the carbon filter as we have a pipe to outside but the whole area still got wet through.
Could I just upgrade the motor to a turbo version? Lol.
Its a 140w at...
Starting on double batches but can only currently fit max following dimensions in my brew fridge:
46cm high
40cm wide
Anything out there suitable?
Most fermenters are 33l or 60l. 60l is too big physically for the fridge.
Cheers
Hi,
Building my stainless brew pot today (hopefully) and have the backer type elements with one red rubber seal and backnut.
Does the rubber seal go on the inside or the outside?
If the inside, what goes on the outside to stop my shiny shiny getting scratched up?
Just about to build my shiny shiny stainless 70l brew pot and it dawned on me that I have no dip tube for it.
Anybody any ideas where I can buy 1/2" NPT to 1/2" compression fittings from, in stainless, for cheap in UK?
I also need a length then of 1/2" OD SS tubing with a bend in it for...
Anybody and cheap and cheerful drip tray ideas for my tall fridge kegerator?
ã30+ for a stainless steel one seems absurd!
Its only in my garage so no need to look proper like.
