    Magnetic Pump Failure!

What sort of pump is it, I destroyed a couple of solar pumps by running them for long periods against a high resistance.

    Cascadian dark ale

I'd tend to move the 30min hops later and increase the flame out hops, possibly with more centennial

Any reason I couldn't use a hose connector on a mash tun?

A lot of people use the brass equivalent. The only real issue is that they are quite hard to get apart when hot.

    When to add Spruce Tips

I'd suggest the last 10 minutes of the boil and don't use very much as the flavour is pretty strong. Look on US forums(eg homebrewtalk) for more ideas.

    Kegorator Help

replacement malts for a US recipe I am trying, help please.

I'd replace the 2-row with any base malt, preferably not something like Maris Otter Caragold or Carahell instead of crystal 10 Aromatic or melanoidin malt instead of the honey malt, not the same but apparently close

How many people on here are member of the CBA?

I am a member, mostly to support the BJCP national as it's one of the few places to get decent feedback on weird and wonderful beers.

    Bare Arts saved!

Glad they are still open but they do need to work on their beers a bit though. I used to drive past there quite often and tried a lot of their beers, there where a few good ones but most where majorly flawed.
