    Dismissing/Sacking someone...Why Do I feel Bad?

What you have to remind yourself is that: 1. You followed due process. 2. She put you in the position where you had to take this action. It's understandable you feel bad but remember the above points :thumb:

How did you get your user name.?

My surname is Lay and my initial is S, so a work nickname developed. Nothing to do with the band though. Afraid it's my type of music, too heavy.

    Wilko Hoppy Copper

I'm halfway through my barrel of this which I racked off on 30th Dec after 2 weeks in the FV. It's turned out to be the clearest beer I've brewed to date. Doesn't taste hoppy but a nice flavour served well whilst chilled in my garage. Will defo do again, but looking to tweak. So I am up for...

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

Thanks for the reply Terry. I have checked the lid seal and it is my newest FV and it snaps shut positively, so I am pretty sure it's not passing. I was going to leave it another day or so and then intervene with a stir of the brew. A suitable intervention?

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

I could do with a bit of help on this. I kicked this off Saturday and the FV is swelling slightly and the water level in the airlock is rising but not bubbling. I have it stored at about 22 degC as the instructions state. Has me fermentation stalled or am I too impatient??? Cheers....

    Lager and lime recipe needed

I'm looking to make a lager and lime brew for my old man in the summer. We are having a party and he likes Kronenbourg with a splash of lime, and I want to surprise him with a clone of his favourite tipple. Has anyone any previous experience of tweaking kits to get such a brew? I have read on...

    Micro pubs.

Got two in Folkestone where I live and another two on the outskirts. Great places to go. Both in town have no music, just creating a friendly atmosphere to chat in. My favourite has a rule that if any mobile goes off a 'fine' has to be paid to the charity box. The landlord even allows you...

Beer kits to brew in 2017

For the first 6 months since taking up kit brewing I've been honing my skills on Coopers kits. I've had a St Peter's Ruby Red Ale kit for xmas and after having success with their Honey Porter I am looking forward to it. I may even try their Mocha Porter. I have tasted early my first lager...

    Coopers European Lager Review

Sampled some of my batch that was bottled 8 weeks ago. I'm impressed. Still young so benefited from being very cold. The recommendation is to leave for 12 weeks....but it was xmas! :thumb:

    Are You A Smoker?

Never tried it. Hate the smell of it so much. My old Nan used to ask me to get the ashtray for her, I used to point blank refuse. Feel like gagging just thinking of it. Both my parents smoked but gave up 30 years ago. It was socially acceptable in their youth, I guess times have changed. My...

how's your stock holding up? :hmm:

Hmm....consumption is matching production at the moment, but not too bad! On hand: 14 litres of Irish Stout (which is amazing) 20 litres of my first lager which will be 8 weeks old at xmas (fingers crossed its ok). 20 litres of bitter which will be 2 weeks old at xmas. Experience tells me as...
