    Children rescued from jungle

One of the most incredible things I've heard in ages. Survived a plane crash that killed their mother and the two pilots and then survived for 40 days in the jungle, whilst keeping their 1 year old sibling alive at the same time. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-65864158

    Buckwheat Malt

Hello, I was looking at Historical beer recipes and stumbled upon this one. It's probably not an accurate representation of a historical beer but I quite fancied doing it anyway... however i'm a bit stuck on Buckwheat Malt... I notice you can get Buckwheat from wholefood shops, would this work...

    Peppery Hop?

Hiya, i've had a couple of IPA's recently, one from (err i can't remember) and the other 'Brithop' by Buxton, they both had a peppery flavour which I quite enjoyed. Looking at different websites I can't really find one described as peppery, I suppose it would be described as spicy.... Can anyone...

    Leadership Debate

After my nightshift i'm just catching up on the debate last night (need something to get me off to sleep). I'm fairly centrist in my politics I guess. Observations so far; Sunak obviously clued up on the economy (you'd hope so) and blowing the others out of the water in economic questions...

Hi all, Odd question perhaps but does anyone know anything about these? We are going to get some solar panels soon but this being the UK it won't be enough to power our home throughout the winter and I was looking into roof mounted wind turbines, about the 1kw range. I've read the rules and...

    Olicana or Waimea?

Hi all, just wondered if anyone had used either Olicana (Dual Purpose hop • A lovely citrus hop with Mango, Grapefruit & Passionfruit. More "leafy" than Jester & more vigorous too. Used in Pales ) or Waimea ( A Big dual purpose hop with a citrus, pine needles and tangerine aroma. A good...

    Skinners

https://mailchi.mp/28d696819025/crowdfunding-launch?e=[UNIQID] I've heard rumours for a little while but it seems that the pandemic has hit Skinners hard. They have started a crowdfunding campaign to try and keep it going till the pubs open. It'll be a sad day if they go to the wall.
