If you have a temperature control fridge, cold crash makes a big difference.

I've just added bottled water to the fermentor before adding yeast. Always turns out ok

I've almost stopped using bittering hops I add all mine at whirlpool, you still get a lot of bitterness. More than you may think Some of my best IPAs I have made this way. Drinking one now

I've not had any off flavours since going all grain. It could be that i now know more about sanitising and temp control though. I don't think I'd bother with kits again though never had one I was completely happy with

Look at crossmyloof yeast on eBay. They're stuff is great

How long into the mash has it gone to this temp

How do you get on with the yeast in big bottles? Do you end up disturbing it to much with multiple pours?

Not just me then. I might have to drink some less hoppy beers for a while or I'll get to the stage where I need to put a kilo of hops in my beers

I usually drink mine within about 3 weeks of carbonating.

Mine never last that long. Also shop bought ones like punk IPA

Can you get used to hoppy beers. Most of my favourite hoppy beers don't taste anywhere as flavoursome anymore. Anyone else had this and anyone know a remedy?
