    1st new grainfather brew

    Cold crashing and priming

    I was thinking of cold crashing my latest brew when it finishes fermenting. Never bothered doing this up to now but wanted to see if it makes any difference. I've checked Brewer's Friend priming calculator and it says to use less than 1g of sugar per 500ml bottle. Does this sound right?

    Grainfather counter flow chiller

    How effective is the chiller at getting the temperature of the wort down? I'm trying to find out as much as possible before I splash out. How does the chilling process work and how low does it get the wort. Sorry for all the questions but I always like to research large purchases.
