I would not worry about it. I have on several occasions 'dipped' WELL into a 30 bottle kit post fermentation but well before adding the finings. Some actually settle down and clear quite well before that stage. I have then added the finings two stage but put the whole sachets in regardless...

+1 on that. You can reuse the original original caps for a while but the Novatwist are excellent and I trust them far more. I have reused mine time and time ( AND TIME ) again.. You get the occasional one that decides to go wrong but VERY rare. I have posted elsewhere looking for current...

Anybody got a decent recent UK supplier for these... I have been googling a bit but those that appear to be reasonable want about £6.50 postage to deliver 36 little pieces of plastic. Robbery!!!! ;)

If it helps and for what it is worth. I have now made just over 70 x 30 bottle kits. My advice would be to avoid the cheaper ones like Winebuddy. I was not over impressed with California either. Beaverdale are nice and I recommend them but for something nicer still I suggest the Kenridge...
