Mangrove's jack grapefruit pink ipa limited edition

Looking at the posts of people adding this and that.....is this not a kit with everything included? Cheers Gaz

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

Cheers chaps. ‘Preferred method’ probably wasn’t the best way I could of worded it to be honest. I kinda wanted to know if there was any benefits to adding to a secondary fv either before dry hopping or after. This is my third kit and my problem really is that previously...

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

Ayup chaps. I’ve got this kit chugging away nicely and should be ready for adding the hops later next week. I have a question though if you don’t mind, regarding bottling. This is only my third kit so I’m wondering if my bottling method is the way to go or not. Basically...

    Easy Keg 5L

£11 extra 😉 The cost of an easy keg with postage would have been around a tenner. A 5ltr keg of Jaipur is £21 so an extra £11 for nearly 9 pints is a no brainer 👍

    Easy Keg 5L

Cheers mate, ordered a couple. Was gonna order another easy keg as well but it would have added another £3 on the delivery then the price of the easy keg= nearly a tenner. Might as well get another keg of Jaipur for £11 more and get it full of beer 😂

    Easy Keg 5L

Hi chaps, I've got a couple of these that I'd like to reuse (originally contained Jaipur). I've actually binned the bungs though so need to order some more. Looking at the replacements available, they look like basic tapered rubber bungs? Is this adequate for when the beer is carbonating? Or am...

Beerworks Presidents Sierra American Pale Ale

Got home from work yesterday and it seemed to have woken up so I've decided to leave it a couple more days before adding the hops. I'll see how it looks tomorrow and update from there. Gaz

Beerworks Presidents Sierra American Pale Ale

Right, it looks like primary is coming to an end so I'm going to think about adding the hops soon. The instructions state the following:- On day 5. 8. To do this, empty the hops into a clean 1 litre jug, use a knife to break them up (for around 1 minute) then add 500ml of boiling water...

Beerworks Presidents Sierra American Pale Ale

Had this in the fv for exactly a week now and its still chugging away nicely. http://www.lovebrewing.co.uk/sierra/ I tried a sample in my LHBS and it suited my tastes perfectly and at under 22 quid it seemed an absolute bargain. My last brew was a youngs American ipa that, although had a...

    Youngs American IPA

Cheers Clint, I think my impatience ruined my last brew and left me feeling a little underwhelmed to be honest. With a heavy yeast build up and overly sharp, bitter, pungent taste, I was disappointed. The taste was there at the back of the pallet so I know it was my own doing but it just wasn't...

    Youngs American IPA

Thanks for the suggestions regarding adding the priming sugar chaps. 1)I'm gonna leave on heatpad for at least two weeks or until primary is finished. 2)I'm then going to add hops in a muslin bag and leave for around 4 days. 3)Turn off the heat then leave for a few days in the cold 4)Dissolve...

    Youngs American IPA

Thanks Terrym, this makes sense. But you say you add your priming sugar then bottle!? Does this not disturb it? How do you add the Sugar? The room where I brew is very cold anyway but I use a homemade insulated fv jacket,a heat pad and an ink bird and I can keep at 20 degrees +-0.5 degrees. So...

    Youngs American IPA

After my first brew I have learned that patience is definitely required and everything is to be handled carefully as I had a LOT of yeast in my bottles of YAIPA. Now, I've just put my second brew on and I'm determined not to have the same problems this time round. After going in to my local HBS...

    Pressure barrel storage or alternative.

The easy keg looks a lot "easier" so I think ill stick with these. I'm sure I read somewhere that these suffer from frothy beer though..... is that right?

    Pressure barrel storage or alternative.

Cheers mate, ill have a look at the star tap as not heard of these before..

    Pressure barrel storage or alternative.

Cheers chaps, plenty to think about there. The last lot that I bottled went in the shed and I just fetched a few at least a few hours before drinking. As a rule I only drink Friday and Saturday evenings and would drink 3-4 bottles on each night so I'm thinking maybe 4 easy kegs would see me...

    Pressure barrel storage or alternative.

Hi guys, I'm about to start my second homebrew kit and looking for some advice regarding storage. Basically,i spent quite a bit of time preparing for, and bottling my last batch. Now I'm wondering if it may be easier to just transfer to a pressure barrel instead. My only issue though is that I...

    Youngs American IPA

Just finished my last bottle and although I liked it,i don't think ill do it again. It had the hoppiness I was after but was too tart/pungent. Don't get me wrong, it was ok but wouldn't in any way compare it punk(one of my faves) as others have done in this thread. Saying that I think I may have...
