    Tropical style Pale Ale suggestions

Cheers. Out of interest do you know if the suspected citra musty taste comes from the boiling, whirlpool or dry hop stage?

    Tropical style Pale Ale suggestions

Thanks for the feedback, I'll increase the dry hop additions to 25g each. What do you mean by torrified? Too much Pilsner? I've only heard this in reference to wheat. I have also been thinking 1kg Pilsner, 3 kg MO

    Tropical style Pale Ale suggestions

I have been playing around with a recipe and I keen to get some feedback on the ingredients before I commit to the brew. I am aiming for a hop-forward Tropical/Pacific style Pale Ale. I formulated the recipe around a Mosaic/Citra/Simcoe combination, but I'm a bit unclear on ratios that I should...

Burco boiler based all-in-one brew system build

I'd love to see how you get on the the PID modification. It is something I would like to do in the future. The Burco thermostat is close enough for now but definitely can be improved.

Burco boiler based all-in-one brew system build

Good point, I did not consider the hot break debris. I think I'll keep the bazooka but angle the elbow down as you have suggested. Thanks for the feedback!

Burco boiler based all-in-one brew system build

Thanks for the feedback, this is actually something that I had been thinking about recently. Do you think I should keep the bazooka? Most of the filtering is done by the grain basket. Considering I have a hop spider, I'm beginning to think the bazooka is more hassle than it is worth.

Burco boiler based all-in-one brew system build

I thought I would document my new brew system build as I have seen a few similar posts here. It is my first dedicated brew system. My previous AG brews have been stove top BIAB brews which worked but weren’t great. They involved using all pots in the house with every stove burner on max...

Newbie Burco/Cygnet kettle false bottoms/hop filters recommendations

I am planning a new brew kettle, it is a step up from my previous stove top BIAB brews. I am very much new to this so any advice would be appreciated. I have just purchased a Burco/Cygnet 30L electric boiler (MFCT1030). My intention is to make an all-in-one system based on a BM/GF clone...

    Grain basket

Hey Greystone, Tuizner, I'm really interested to see how your PP plastic FV turned out as a grain basket. I am planning to do exactly the same - 3mm holes and possibly some SS mesh above them. I had thought of using a cheap SS stock pot, but it sounds like a nightmare to drill holes in them.

    DIY Hop Filter

I like this idea, it could also elevate a grain basket if you use one. How well did it work?

    Hi from London

Hello, I have often ended up on this site after googling various brewing questions and I have finally decided to register and introduce myself. I started brewing kits and recently moved up to all grain brew in a bag. So far all brews have come out well and I'm hoping to keep improving...
