    NEIPA oxidation

It has very slightly darkened. No way near the warm one tho. I don't think an O2 was present in either tho. Due to the way I purged. (bottles and pipes all full of starsan, squeezed Evey last bubble out, the drive out the starsan wit Co2) always possible tho.

    NEIPA oxidation

Been looking into darkening of NEIPA myself, and chatting with Adam from Baldy's brewery on youtube... Here's what i came up with as an additional cause for NEIPA's going brown. Especially bottle conditioned ones. Here's how it went. ... a bit of a brainwave theory. So, we dry hop and...

mini corny kegs with regulators and CO2 capsules

9L of liquid stays cold for quite a long time, how long are you thinking of? You can get neoprene insulated sleeves for them too.

mini corny kegs with regulators and CO2 capsules

I use the little 9L kegs. i started off using sodastream bottle with an adaptor and regulator. force carbing will use a reasonable amount of co2, so force carbing with the little bulbs would be really expensive way of doing it. sodastream bottles are about £12 a refill. i have now got a...

What Sweeteners does everyone use in TC?

I had thought about that myself, only I was going to boil it up and add some sugar and reduce it down a bit to make my own syrup.

What Sweeteners does everyone use in TC?

I've seen some people use Stevia sweetner. It's plant based so may be ok. Personally, I leave it as is. Then put a squirt of Monin Green apple syrup (other flavours are available lol ) in glass before pouring. Monin Premium Green Apple Syrup 700 ml...

    Youngs American IPA NOT NICE1

I've just kegged my first one of these kits, (no kitchen to do AG last few months) I'd read on here a lot of mixed reviews, some saying it was awesome, some no so good. I tried the beer before dry hopping and found it rather bitter and not great to be honest. Anyway, perceviered, and dry...

    Cross my loof Saison yeast

What sort of temps have you been fermenting at? Maybe warmer would make more funky? I might grab a packet or two and give it a whirl at some point. (using yeast harvested from a BBno 01|01 Saison at moment)

    Bridger's BrewDays

Just a little update, not a lot of brewing been going on here as had no kitchen for a couple of months (floor finally going in tomorrow!). But, I during the down time I managed to build a fermentation fridge with the old one out of the kitchen. The Punk kit turned out decent, keg nearly...

Mulled/Spiced Cider - best way to flavour?

I've tried to make mulled turbo cider (sparkling), but for some reason it never really tastes right without the sweetness, which is obviously difficult without it wanting to ferment the sugar out. Haven't tried using sweetner tho, maybe some stevia would help when bottling. Warm mulled turbo...

    Brew with an unpleasant aftertaste

The New World Saison kit should be brewed higher anyway, I usually do mine about 28°. Saison can be an acquired taste, see if you can get a Saison Dupont or similar from local bottle shop to compare. That NWS Saison also does have an interesting blend of dry hops which again gives it a very...

    AG49 Vermont IPA

I forgot to post this before, but this is the same batch of NEIPA. Left is Keg, right is bottled. (Bottles Co2 flushed too) bottle conditioning defo make it darker / browner. Taste changed a little too. Definitely not as 'fresh' tasting.

AG No. 4. BBN Citra Saison Clone

It's not over pronounced Citra, defo know it's Citra but is still yeast forward with that Saison spicy funkyness. (Fermented at a steady 28°) I am a big fan of Citra, so the extra dry hopping wouldn't go amiss. I obviously liked it a little too much as I finished the keg last night. [emoji23]

    CO2 for Corny Kegs

What sort of prices do they charge? I'd seen them but instantly thought they would be expensive.

    CO2 for Corny Kegs

If it's any use, just found a place in Nuneaton, £35 for first bottle, £15 per refill. N.W.S Gases Whitacre Road, Nuneaton CV11 6BY Easy to find on Google. I haven't used yet as my soda stream hasnt ran out yet.

AG No. 4. BBN Citra Saison Clone

Brewed a slight variation on this myself, tweaked it a tiny bit due to my volumes and i like to keep grain amounts in round numbers :) Hit my 1.048 target, but overshot the FG with the 3711 yeast down to 1.003, ended up at 5.9%, also, sill me, was short on the dry hop, only 30g on hand at the...
