Very Hoppy Falconer's Flight 7C Pale Ale

I'm actually going to drop the 60 min addition, and drop the IBUs to around 40, as I want it to be to be more hoppy but less bitter than punk IPA which is around 45 IBUs. Also, does anyone have any advice on how big the boil should be, I was thinking about 10 litres, which then should make it...

Very Hoppy Falconer's Flight 7C Pale Ale

From reading the hop does sound right up my alley, so I'm looking forward to it. Do you think the beer will be more hoppy than say Punk IPA? As with all the hoppy beers I drink these days, I'm looking to make a beers more hoppy than that.

Very Hoppy Falconer's Flight 7C Pale Ale

Hi Everyone, I’m going to try an extract & partial mash of a super hoppy American Pale Ale. To save effort and money I’m going to buy a kilo of Falconer’s Flight 7Cs hops, I should be OK to use them alone as they’re a hybrid of 7 hops, and I’ve heard good...

A Good Base Grain From Geterbrewed?

How does it taste? I'm assuming to get a malty profile for an APA I'd need to use some crystal and munich malt?

A Good Base Grain From Geterbrewed?

That's good to know, I assume I could use the extra pale as a base malt for IPAs, as well as the occasional lager I might do for friends? I'm assuming it could also accompany wheat malt for when I also do wheat beers?

A Good Base Grain From Geterbrewed?

Wow, so it's now 5% cheaper, thanks! I see they have hops by the kilo at good prices, however is there an option of buying a kilo but with the hops coming in say 10 100gm bags?

A Good Base Grain From Geterbrewed?

Hi Everyone, I'm hopefully getting a Grainfather for christmas  and I want to start brewing some 8% Double IPAs as well as try and master lower alcohol 4% very hoppy beers. For a base malt, I'm just confirming if this one is a good choice? As at £18 for 25kgs the price is right...

    Bulk hops

I'm assuming no one wanted to go through with the ordering and vacuum packing the hops? I've found these guys which seem ridiculously cheap! http://www.brewersselect.co.uk/ I've managed to find an old list of prices -...

How big is a 5kg bag of hop pellets? I'm assuming too big to fit in a standard freezer drawer?

    Very Cheap Bulk Hops!

Do you know if there's an option for them to send it out in 5 1kg bags, or is it always in one large 5kg bag? I'd be happy to have a kg of each hop, but I'm not sure if there's room in my freezer for about 10kgs of hops :(

    Very Cheap Bulk Hops!

I've read previously that hop pellets properly stored lose no more than 5% of their oils/flavour per year? So I could use fractionally more hops, which is a good trade off when they're at least half the price.

    Hello Fellow Beer Geeks!

OK, so I've chosen this kit as it was the only one with two fermentation vessels as I want to rack my beer for secondary fermentation. Seems like a decent deal to me for £43? http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Equipment-Only-Starter-Kit-5-Gallons.html I've also decided to go with...

    Hello Fellow Beer Geeks!

Hi Everyone! I’m chomping at the bit to get back into some brewing! I brewed for about 5 years back in Australia and made beer at an intermediate level with liquid yeasts and the like, and was quite happy with my results. However that stopped when I moved to London almost 10 years ago...
