SS Brewtech 13L Brew Bucket Mini

I have a 30litre, purchased last year, unsure how many brews used for before Covid struck. Supplies became problematic, so I worked thru my stock of bottled, supplies came right about the time I ran out. I bottle (obviously), bulk prime. Big fail with this thing. Fails to prime, full stop. Tried...

A couple of Qs about MJ yeasts

Wow. What a faff. Ten times its weight in water and half hour stir plate. Really?? Never rehydrated yet in a home brew career that started in 1981. Never had a failure or off tastes either. Guess I'm just lucky.......

    Grainfather Cutout

Not so good Slid, for sure and afraid I can't offer a solution, other then you're not running it via an extension cord, are you? Interesting on your mill gap, not seen that before. Tried the credit-card setting, it didn't work for me - too fine. So used feeler gauges, eventually settled on 1.28mm

    Robobrew/Grainfather type systems and sparging

This is another of those puzzles - to me anyway - in brewing with the 'sprinkling of water to sparge'. What? Pouring sparge water over the top plate seems to distribute evenly? Yes/no? Slight bodily effort needed to achieve is all.....

    Grainfather Cutout

Glad to see you've seemingly sorted your prob. Result! Have same GF iteration you have and like you the whizzbang Connect is not something I desire. Could you notify when you get an answer back from GF please? I live in their location but realised about 4 years ago that no matter how...

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

No, mine moves. Mine is not a Robo piece, it's a knock off from Ali. HBSs where I am were flatly not interested in that piece of gear when it hit the market and the Robo agents in Australia likewise were not interested in export. It is stainless tho', at least. The supports on the underside are...

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

Short piece of stainless chain with a ring either end should sort that particular woe Harbey. Worked for me. What you REALLY need tho' is one of those shiny copper lid thingies. Really sets the GF off a treat...

Your First Grainfather Brew - A Walkthrough

First off, sounds like your milling (or whoever did the milling) was too fine. Guess you'll find out about the taste - wouldn't toss it just yet. Blowing back down the recirc outlet when flow slows/stops will help in discharging any pump blockage.

    Those bloody Grainfather silicone seals

The creativeness here continues to astound (even if it is completely unnecessary.....)

    Grain mill

    Use a feeler gauge.

Using two one can kits instead of sugar

(save even more money by only buying one and using less water)

    Purchasing bigger tubs of PBW?

Isn't it strange that two products from the same manufacturer well used (overused) by the brewing community are mysteriously not available.....? EU ganging up on you folk? :hat::confused.:acheers.

Can you help me crush some grains - Mirfield West Yorkshire

Keep this in mind - many folks who use these upgrade to the more common type of mill.

Can you help me crush some grains - Mirfield West Yorkshire

Okay. What's cheaper. Replacing your grain or buying this mill? (understand those mills aren't the best. but they do the job....)

One time husband of Denise McCluggage. (Google her if in doubt) Not at all relevant, just thought I'd toss it in.....
