Rules on free bar social club

@Northern_Brewer is absolutely correct throughout this thread. AWRS is a serious piece of legislation that not many individuals or businesses are aware of. Just be careful with running any sort of event and make sure you do things properly is my advice 👍

    Stainless Steel Fermenters

Oh, blimey, I’m terribly sorry for answering a question that you posted on a forum… If you read my response again you’ll see that I mentioned Keykegs have a life because of the material they are made from. I think the rest is pretty self explanatory. To be honest this is like trying to...

    Stainless Steel Fermenters

I’m going to move past your antagonistic comments and answer your question in a friendly and polite way… It’s commerciality vs practicality and what’s best for the beer: 1. A huge number of trade account customers/small venues don’t have the ability to dispense with co2 or mixed gas. It’s far...

    Stainless Steel Fermenters

Let me get this right… so the brewery you’re using by way of example transfers into a stainless pressure vessel? 😂 that’s an excellent argument there my friend.

    Stainless Steel Fermenters

I’m not sure what a ‘Mainstream’ fermenter is, but tanks that are rated to 1 bar are called unitanks or brite tanks and are used to completely carbonate a finished beer. These cost a lot of money compared with something that’s not pressure rated. This information has come from first hand...

    Stainless Steel Fermenters

Exactly this 👏 I’m not sure why people are getting defensive of their beloved plastic buckets on here. I’m not denying you can make beer in one and some pretty good beer as well, but dissolved oxygen is the big thing with every style, and in particular an IPA. Let’s put it this way, if a...

    Stainless Steel Fermenters

It completely depends on what you want to achieve. Can you make drinkable beer in a plastic bucket? Of course. Can you make enjoyable IPAs in a plastic bucket? Yes, just about. Can you make a quality beer, without any dissolved O2 or a high risk of contamination in a plastic bucket? It’s...

Sold SS Brewtech Brew Bucket 14 gallon (brewmaster edition)

For sale! SS Brewtech Brewbucket 14 Gal/50Litre brewmaster edition Two available- both have been used and looked after and have produced some great beers over the last couple of years. There are slight marks on the outside of the tanks and on the lids from wear and tear, but they are in good...

    Anyone built their own foeder

I love this 👏 toying with doing something similar for my small commercial brewery… it’s on my list!

Licensing will trigger the planning morons at the council to get involved and you’ll open up a whole can of worms. If you’d like to occasionally sell beers to raise money, you could TENs it every now and then and no premises license is then needed. You could then (if council jobsworths got...

    Canning Thread

I now use mine commercially with my small nano brewery and I manage a case (24 cans) in about 8 minutes. If you get your process nailed down there’s no way it should take you 100 seconds 👀

    Pressure Fermenting?

It’s all personal preference. With a unitank most brewers that I’ve spoken with will either cap and spund towards the end of fermentation or force carb using a carb stone during the crash (or a combination of both) 🍺

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

It's been ages since i've posted so I thought i'd better redeem myself :beer1: Decided to open something very very special... @Pennine 's 'Everything Good in The World' Impy stout, now a vintage ale after being lovingly stored in the back of my brew fridge for a good two years! This is...

    October Competition- Dark Beers

Again, sorry for the delay but that’s all the feedback sent out now 🍺 We’re getting married in a few days time and needless to say with all the madness leading up to it I’ve barely had the chance to type it all up. The feedback is very honest and is hopefully useful! Some lovely beers sent in...
