It's definitely an extravagance but I love cask beer! Managed to find a bit of kit on eBay that means I can attach it to a 5 litre mini keg which is perfect for a weekend (or a particularly thirsty evening!).

Sounds like possibly a finer grain crush than usual? Rye can be sticky but not as bad as you've described when it's only 1 in 7.5 kg. Fingers crossed you still get a beer out of it at the end!

Back in the saddle after an inadvertent 4 months hiatus. Bramling Cross ESB today, pushing the limit of my kit to get 30 litres so I can fill a corny & 2 X mini kegs to serve through my beer engine. Hitting the numbers so far! thumb.

My Triple Bock is based on this recipe from Michael Tonsmeire - https://www.themadfermentationist.com/2009/05/wheat-triplebock_17.html?m=1 I didn't get up to that FG though & ended up with a 16 litre batch rather than the 20 litres I aimed for. The grain bill was too big for my kit to be honest...
