ACE Mash efficiency - advice needed!

I've just completed my third ever all-grain brew, all three having been done with an ACE Microbrewery and an irritating pattern is starting to form already. On all three brews, my pre-boil gravity has been way lower than Beersmith predicted (1.034 v 1.043 today) and consequently my OG is low...

    Headless Bitter

My first AG brew has been in the bottle now for 16 days, stored at room temperature. I just opened one up and its carbonated OK, but has absolutely no head at all. Flavour is OK, but it'd be much better with even a trace of a head! The attachment shows the recipe (it was a Geterbrewed kit)...

It tastes lovely, but I have huge, battleship-sized chunks of yeast floating around in the bottles still. I've been drinking it...

    Noob saying hi!

Hi everyone! I'm a home brewing noob that's done a few kits and am about to dive into the world of AG brewing. Being really short of space, I've bought myself an ACE Microbrewery and have spent the last few weeks figuring out what I need to do and assembling kit. With a bit of luck I'll be...
