    Flat Spot for Elements

    I’ve got a couple of 1 inch BSP 3kw Dernord screw in type elements to install into some 50l pots. Is anybody making a flat spot it their pots prior to drilling the hole to get a better seal or am I over thinking it? Cheers

    Has anyone had any joy using desiccated coconut? I made an ipa after toasting some last year but there were still lots of the oils/fats in the finished beer. Is there a nack to getting the coconut flavour but not the oils?
