    Ace micro brewer

I have used a pump for cooling when the temp dropped to 80, for pumping to fermentor I am not using pump as I want the trub and hops to stay inside the pot :)

No not yet insulated. Yes with relay it can be on or off but during on there can be different duty cycle like additional PWM controller somewhere in the circuit. For example similar to the one in dimmable lamps. I am not sure though as I didn't open mine yet.

    Ace micro brewer

I do not hear any clicks during boiling, maybe in the newer version that is different? I can hear it on and off when I set a temp like 60C and it is 59.6 it clicks back and when 59.7 it clicks OFF but the element is warm enough to heat water to 60.3C. For boiling it is all the time ON in my case.

I think you are wrong, in boiling relay is not turning on and off. It is just on all the time at specified wattage (by reducing duty cycle)

    All Grain Brewing System reviews.

Does anyone changed the original tap on Ace/Klarstein etc? It is very slow to empty the pot with it, it is not fully open 1/2', it's limited inside.

    All Grain Brewing System reviews.

No it does not but I guess they know the capacity, heaters, thermal capacity etc so this should be the same for every same pot, it might be just saved in the memory in the factory but I am not sure though although it seems to be pretty accurate. However PID seems too much for such pot and the...

    All Grain Brewing System reviews.

Finally arrived :) with the new controller version I am really impressed by new controller, 9 steps, hop additions, buzzer and I am not sure but can be there a PID for temp controll? With water test set to 60C it goes 59.6 - 60.3 so its not an old 2C histeresis. And temp sensor is only 0.3C OFF...

    Which system should I buy?

Isn't it important to boil that steam can escape freely from the wort? With all unwanted substances?

    Which system should I buy?

You might have a point here :) I just faced another problem, as I moved to another apartment I have only kitchen for my brewing now. During the boil step I will get a lot of steam, any tips how to handle this? My kitchen fan probably can't deal with so much steam. I rememeber I was brewing few...

    Ace micro brewer

I am pretty sure I have seen somewhere beersmith profile file for Ace/Klarstein 30L but can't find it now. Just found some outdated one. Can you guide me to the right place? :) I finally bought Klarstein for those who followed my topic.

maybe try kegking.cz? They have robobrew, similar system, maybe even a bit better in terms of build quality and they have additional false bottom at the .. bottom :) I know they ship to Poland and other countries. Price is even better :)

    Which system should I buy?

Yeah, I thought so that DMS problem might be marginal and I should't worry about it. About cold crashing there is nice last post from brulosophy http://brulosophy.com/2017/11/20/the-impact-of-cold-crashing-on-various-beer-characteristics-exbeeriment-results/ TLDR: His result was that it does...

    Which system should I buy?

DMS is producing all the time in the temp above 80 degree. But yes it might not be a that big problem. I will do as you said :) BTW I heard somewhere that more trub in the fermenter produces clearer beer? True?

    Which system should I buy?

For me it does matter at the moment because I have a plate chiller so I want to cool my wort as fast as possible to not produce much DMS

    Which system should I buy?

My hopstoper was once blocked also because I fully opened the valve at the beginning. Opening slowly helped but I had to keep it pretty half open all the time, was afraid to fully open it by the end. I didn't want to have it blocked again

    Which system should I buy?

I am in Norway now :) I hope I won't have any of the problems and If I will have any there is 5year warranty in Norway for them and warranty here works really great so I do not worry about it. If I buy it I will install CraftBeerPi controller there, I already have pt100 probe which will fit...

    Which system should I buy?

Hi, thanks all for messages. My budget is not really limited but I want to get it as cheap as possible. I see for example Klarstein/Ace brewery etc are the same system as Grainfather (even the same pump?) so there is no need to pay so much extra. I know quality might be little lower but if it...

    Which system should I buy?

Anyone has some experience and can recommend or don't a system like Ace Micro Brewery/Klarstein Mundshenk etc? I am planning to either buy one of those all in one or make my electric pot (27L) for traditional mashing with a stirer and a spring filtrator at the bottom. So during mashing I will...
