Spicing up my IPA with fruit?

Thanks Gents, some food for thought. Think now I'll stick to adding the Citra, this time round, see how that goes. But will continue to research fluit flavouring possibilities. There's another thread going just now with the addition of marmalade concentrate. Now I like that idea.

Spicing up my IPA with fruit?

Further to request for advice, I have just taken delivery of some lovely Citra hops that I'll DryHop. Should add some fruity flavour. No one got any experience of adding fruit to a brew, here?

Spicing up my IPA with fruit?

I'm new to brewing, had some great success with the Youngs IPA kits, and i have a notion to spice my next brew up a bit. I have a Richies Simply kit being delivered shortly, and fancy adding something fruity like grapefruit in an attempt to create an Elvis Juice, taistylike. If I was adding a...

    Newbie bottling question

All great advice guys, and very welcome. When I was buying my bottling bucket and some pet bottles to make up my total, lady in the shop advised to store them upside down. Idea being the yeast will settle in the cap. So, I presume a careful rotate prior to unscrewing, and fingers crossed the...

    Newbie bottling question

Experience, or lack of, I guess. I wanted to reduce the risk of disturbing the yeast sediment at the bottom of the FV. With regard to the floating Hops, the instruction said to sprinkle on top, that they would sink to the bottom. One lives and learns....................and thanks to you chaps...

    Newbie bottling question

Ok so , bottling went relatively well. A distraction was the Hops I'd added to the FV 3 days previously, which I'd understood would sink from the surface and settle on the bottom. They hadn't and instead had formed a sort of crust on the surface. Since I was using the tap, with hose to keep...

    Newbie bottling question

On my second brew, now ready to bottle. I've bought a second container (brewing bucket), which I'd planned to decant the brew into. My idea being, I'd be able to leave the sludgy leftovers in the first brewing bucket and be able to mix my bottling sugar to the whole batch in the second bucket...

    returning brewer

Hi folks, from bonny Scotland. Made a few beers and wine kits many years ago. Have just started a kit I was given as a gift from my son last Christmas. Didn't remember it being as complicated. This was a Brooklyn brew kit with proper grain and stuff, not the boots cans from my yoof...
