to sell or not to sell.....

I would keep the kit a bit longer. I did not brew anything for a year myself, but it was nice to know that my stuff was there when I wanted to do it again. I am not a big drinker but enjoy the process of making, so to think I had to buy it all again when I had chance to put a kit on would have...

    What did you brew today?

I put on a Burton Bridge Brewery - Summer Ale and only after two weeks in the bottle its tasting rather nice. I really hope that in a few more weeks it goes from strength to strength. I feel that I will be doing more of their range, but think a visit to their website is needed. Thanks for that...

    Order of drinking beer

I have just made one of their Burton Bridge Brewery - Summer Ale's and after only 2 weeks in the bottle it was tasting rather nice. May be made it the wrong time of year now that the summer has well and truly gone, but if it remains this nice I will be making more for sure.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

The other night I tried one of the Burton Bridge Brewery - Summer Ale's that I had brewed. It had only been standing for 2 weeks, but temptation got the better of me as I have been really looking forward to both brewing and trying this one. I thought I may have lost it when fermenting, but when...

    What did you brew today?

Today I put bottled up my Tom Claxton Real Ale which comes in at 3%. I have tried the Tom Claxton range before with their best bitter and quite liked the results. Next time I have a Burton Bridge Brewery - Summer Ale that I am quite looking forward to putting on. Hope it lives up to my expectations.

The Quest for the Perfect Bitter

For me at the moment my perfect Bitter is the one that I am currently drinking Tom Claxton Best Bitter. I made it with lme and specialist year. It is the best point that I have made.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Last night I had a point of the Tom Claxton Best Bitter. Wow for me it is the best drink that I have made. It is so nice and just a shame that I am getting through them so quick lol.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Over the weekend i tried my two week bottled Tom Claxton Best Bitter. I was not expecting much as when i bottled it was like old radiator water. However, when i tried it after just two weeks it was a fantastic point. Nice, and clear and a great taste, i cannot wait to taste more down the line...

    Australian Pale Ale

I made the APA with the kit Coopers kit and the malt extract and currently it is in the bottles proving. Been in the bottles just over a month and the other day I tried it. Wow it is tasting very nice even at this early stage. Just need to get a few more bubbles in it, but the taste is so nice...

    Australian Pale Ale

Thanks for that. I have made it today, but I did not have any brewing sugar to add to it to boost the alcohol volume, so I just made it with the Coopers extract and the LME. I will be adding in hops a day or so before I bottle for the taste.

    Australian Pale Ale

I have an Australia Pale Ale kit that I am looking to make this week. I have a nice Light Mangrove Jack Pure Liquid Malt Extract that I am going to add to it. Also I have been told that wet hopping (2 hops) with 200g of cracked crystal malt grains would make it a nice drink. I have not got any...

    What did you brew today?

When I put the Bewitched Ale down, I noticed a drip coming from my Coopers F|V Snap Tap. I watched this and it all seemed OK after a bit, so I left it over night. The next morning, there was a puddle under the FV, so I put the wort into a pan and changed the snap tap. The tap and the pan were...

    What did you brew today?

@Gerryjo thanks for that, I will look into it as I need something that has a low contact time or even no rinse. Do not want to make brew/bottle day into an all day event and a pain in the butt.

    What did you brew today?

Today, I put down a Mr Beer Craft Range - Bewitched ale. It was a bit of fun as we were using a new sanitizer that took 30 mins contact time, so took longer thank I wanted, but we got there. It looked nice and when I tested the OG, it tasted nice too. I also added a bit more sugar to it, to get...

    Coopers English Bitter

Today, I brought a pack of 'East Kent Goldings Hops' to go into the brew when I set it off in a few week.

    Mr Beer Craft Range

Oh yes the price is up there when it comes to these kits and the amount of bottles that they produce.
  18. ukphiltr7

    Mr Beer Craft Range

Yes they are designed to be one can only and there is no need to add anything else to it. I was just thinking of trying to take it to another level. However, the Bewitched brew is great on its own.

    Coopers English Bitter

@peebee thanks for that, I will have a look at the thread asap. I am thinking that I will just put half the amount of sugar in the bottles for priming and not the full amount. I must admit that I do like the flat bitter.

    Coopers English Bitter

I opened the Mangrove Jack pack today to check it and they re in a tea bag. That is great as it means that I do not have to get a strainer or muslin bag this time around. It makes it easy for me the first time. So I will use the one that I currently have for the Geordie Winter Warmer that I...
