    Kegerator foam Help

I'm also suffering with this. I don't think the hot weather is helping. My question is how long is too long for lines? What happens when you add too much?

Best app to use with iSpindel

Tilt is the angle the iSpindel is at - 0 would be vertical. The device actually works by measuring that angle and the calibration equation tells the device how to convert that value into the equivalent gravity that produces that angle. you will notice that the iSpindel gets closer to horizontal...

    Labelling kegerator taps

I am really enjoying seeing the ideas on this thread. I'm using mini blackboard tags right now:

Blackboard rather than white board is a good call

    Labelling kegerator taps

The taps are a bit too close to each other for that to work I think:

They look great - I'll have a search.

    Labelling kegerator taps

Hi everyone, I treated myself to a three tap kegerator which is a thing of great beauty. It's a mangrove jacks one with a top font with three taps. I'm now wondering how I can indicate what beer is connected to each tap. My current plan is to put a small whiteboard behind the kegerator and...

    Getting started with kegs

Thanks AnimatedGIF. I've been watching some YouTube videos and feel like I will now be able start making some choices. Very tempted by a keggarator - that's a whole new can of worms!

    Getting started with kegs

I have a lovely new log cabin home office. It's big enough that I can finally start kegging my beer. Problem is that I know next to nothing about kegging beer - can anyone recommend some reading for me to work out what equipment I need and how to use it?

    Verdant Putty

Have you seen this? Looks like the dry hop ratios are a little different to what you are suggesting https://verdantbrewing.co/blogs/news/putty-returns-for-2021

    Interpreting recipes

I can't believe mashing out will ever have a negative impact on a brew. Feel free to do it whatever the recipe says. It's not uncommon for recipes to be a little 'breif'.

Newbie Brewzilla question - Mash and Sparge size?

Assuming the Brewzilla is a similar size and shape as my Klarstein, you have about 8l of space between the bottom of the kettle and the bottom of the grain pipe, so 16l will be no where near enough strike water. I use 8 + 2.3 * kg for mashing, so 8 + 6.4*2.3 = about 23l

    Kveik (After two years)

This is really interesting. I brewed a NEIPA @34C using Voss and found the same thing - I blamed it on my hop rocket not allowing decent circulation, perhaps it was inevitable? It wasn't awful - I drank it all, but hop character was missing. I'm conditioning another beer (more of a west coast...

    Anyone waiting for Hopcat?

What efficiency do you get? Getting rid of the sparge is very appealing

    Anyone waiting for Hopcat?

That's really interesting - so you use neither overflow pipe, just leave the white cap on throughout the mash? Doesn't the top screen help the sparge though?

    Anyone waiting for Hopcat?

Anyone wanting something like a hopcat but does not want to wait months, I bought a klarstein mundschenk at the beginning of the month and it arrived in a week. I think these devices are very similar

    Purpose of warm conditioning bottles

My keenness is because there was a sizable dry hop, so don't want to leave all of them out too long. Having said that, I have the patience to wait, so think I will treat this batch as an experiment to try to find the right balance of conditioning and freshness.

    Purpose of warm conditioning bottles

I suspected that DCBC. Most are still warm conditioning and I think I will leave them like that for the full 2 weeks. I have a few in the fridge and will compare them

American style IPA hops on the cheap

Thanks Clint. Their prices look excellent. I will give them a try for my next brew. Falconers flight looks interesting too.
