    Bubbles and more bubbles

Hi Lewie i hope you are well. When it comes to the sediment you want to leave as much as possible in the fermentor. when doing kits i always transfer to a bottling bucket (witha tap and bottler) and bottle from there. when i make wines or meads i transfer the liquid into a clean demijohn or...

Hi I'm new here ... oh and i like making beer!

I use Mangrove Jacks Mead Mo5. My local brewer only stocks mangrove jacks so i usually pick one up when i get my grain. early on i used champagne yeast but it wasn't as good and it tended to carbonate over time

    What are you drinking tonight.

I'm drinking a brew i wish i'd never made. its a brow sugar lager made from a Gordies lager kit and a 1kg of brown sugar. fermented at 20 degrees C because i have no heat control. its awful alone but pop a lemonade top in it and its ok. £10 for 40 x 500ml bottles was £10 too much and i wont...

What's the 1 bit of advice you wish someone had given you, which you'd pass on to a new brewer?

Keep notes in a hard backed note pad (it wipes clean much easier and protects your notes more than a cheap one). Just write it all down on paper and keep it together. it will save you time in the future, a lot of time. or never stand naked near your boil kettle
