    B&M kits

Well just cracked open the first bottle of the American IPA and have to say I'm very impressed. Excellent aroma and taste and plenty of carbonation. For £8 a kit this is very good beer.

    Lidl Craft Beer.

Maybe you're branch will get the Belgian stuff in later? They appear to be phasing out certain beers to make room for new ones. Are you not a fan of American IPA in general?

    Lidl Craft Beer.

Bought some of the new Lidl Craft beer today. Twisted knots American IPA. Anyone else had this?

    Yeast suspension.

Lucky I have bakers teaspoons for the exact measure I'd look at batch priming once I'm moving from fermenter to bottling bucket but just going straight into bottles on this occasion.

    B&M kits

It only seems to be the B&M Local stores, not the Home ones. Basically any that sell alcohol. My local had hardly any on the shelves 2 weeks ago. Last week they had plenty.

    Yeast suspension.

Thanks for your reply. Having gone back and looked at my notes, it has been at 1.010 for almost a week. No signs of fermentation at all now. The beer is cloudy yes. It actually tastes not too bad at the moment. The kit recipe advises on 1tsp of granulated sugar per 500ml bottle so I will do...

    Yeast suspension.

Hi guys, Bottling my first batch of home brew tomorrow. It's an American IPA. Has been fermenting for 2 weeks and has hit FG for the last 4 days. There is still some yeast floating about. I assume bottle conditioning will allow this to drop? Should I worry about bottle bombs? Thanks.

    Possible contamination.

Cheers guys. Certainly put my mind at rest anyway. I'm sure it'll be fine and it's another brew day today. Cheers

    Possible contamination.

Cheers guys. My hand was definitely clean and sanitised. Fingers crossed.

    Possible contamination.

Hi guys, Just drew a sample of my beer from the fv and my hand accidentally touched the beer. Is there a high chance this will now be contaminated? I had just sanitised everything in a basin of star san, including my hand which touched the beer.

    Bulldog kits.

Anybody used any of the Bulldog kits and would you recommend? They look very decent and have a nice selection. Interested to hear people's thoughts on these.

    B&M kits

Awesome. What temperature did you ferment this at? I'm considering modding my wine cooler so I can make a lager.

    B&M kits

Has anyone bottled the IPA kit yet? The instructions say 10 days fermenting but should I leave it 14 days? You've to dry hop after 7 days.

    What are you drinking tonight.

Can't be a nice cold Weiss beer

    What are you drinking tonight.

Skye Gold ale. Brewed with fine porridge oats, nice clean flavour and very drinkable.

    What are you drinking tonight.

Going through a range of beery delights tonight. Guinness golden ale, Leffe Blonde, BrewDog punk and clockwork tangerine, Erdinger. Eagerly awaiting my first home brew to be ready

    Fruit and dry hopping.

So my recipe calls for dry hops in the fermenter after 7 days. Would it be worth putting these in a hop sock so there's no gunk? And same with frozen fruit chunks. Fancy adding some mango to my IPA and thinking of putting some in at the same time as the hops in a hop sock. Thanks.

    Wine cooler for fermentation.

Thanks Mark, I did see these setups later last night. It possibly would work with the cooler yeah. I can buy the inkbird and greenhouse heater and try it out. Cheers

    New to home brewing.

So first brew is complete and in the fermenter. American IPA. Hopefully turns out okay!

    Wine cooler for fermentation.

Hi guys, I've got a wine cooler that doesn't get used. Was thinking about using this for maintaining temp when fermenting my beer. Has anyone else used one? I think mine only goes up to 19degrees and if so I'd probably look to buy an stc-1000. Any tips welcome
